    First concept

Posted on Jan 10, 2010 at 9:33 AM

The first concept has the most promise for sure. But the concept in general is not working for me. I like the font but i don't like how you have the word in two different colors and set down. The imagery is also pretty generic and I'm not sure if it ads anything to the logo. I would focus on doing a text based logo with no imagery. I think the font that you used it different and creative. Try adding strokes, shadows and a tag line. Just my thoughts, hope that helps.

Thank you very much Nate. I think I`ll try some text only variations.

    Very Interesting

Draggler is a cool name has no perverse or dissident negativity as far as im concerned.

I don't think you need the large toast stack on 1 and 2. I think what all of this is missing is a mouse cursor to bring the point home.(pun intended).

I think the concept is strong enough 1 and 2 but the font is not. I don't like 3 & 4 at all it hurts my eyes as I try to focus on the blur.

Objective: Memorable, showing the main concept

So with what we have No.1 is best get rid of the toast or balance into small icon at left of the word drag. Change the font. Include a mouse cursor . That takes you fist base expand from there .

Thank you very much Robert. As I said above I`ll create some variations. Most likely without toast, perhaps with mouse cursor. About the font: I will try some others, but this one was the best fit here (imho).

    drag gler...

Posted on Jan 10, 2010 at 1:31 PM

    Hey Marc

I like the name and I agree with Nate, number one is by far the best...

When I say draggler the first thing that pops into my head it dracular (eh I have odd thoughts, but this may only be a problem if saying it over the phone for the first time)

I would say that keeping one colour for the font would be best and maye incorporate it into the logo, eg where the red bar is make that "draggler"

Anyway Good luck, I would like to see the finished product, sounds neat!

    color of company name

Posted on Jan 10, 2010 at 1:34 PM

I like the first concept a lot (concept 1, option 2). The font, slight gradient and colors work well together. I think you should keep draggler the same color (red0 and on the same line. I really like the idea of the red bar out of place as if it is being dragged, but the large drop shadow is making it too dominant. You may want to decrease the shadow and stack them on top of 'rag' to pull the whole concept closer together. Then, right align the tag line to balance the entire logo. Great start.

    First Concept...

Posted on Jan 10, 2010 at 3:57 PM

    Welcome Marc!

I agree with Nate, the first logo is a good start but make it text-only.

Maybe make the whole word red and have the second "g" brown and drop down with a mouse cursor over it. Also, it looks like you put this together in Illustrator. Try bringing it into Photoshop and using an outer glow or drop shadow for the second "g" with a mouse pointer over it, and a letterpress style for the rest of the word.

Hi Kevin. This seems to work! Look at the new versions #11 + #12. Exactly as you suggested. I like it!

Well, I put #11 + #12 later on the concepts page, so all the others reviewed before the new ones where online. I will collect the comments and reviews and make a final stage with three variants. Then we will see. I also like it most atm.
