Hi Angie,
I love the monkey, he is cute.
I just noticed a couple things that you may want to look at.
Where you have "Breadcrumbs\ From Here \ To There" the "To There" looks like it is a different shade of blue compared to the other set of words in the line. ( If it is a link forget the comment I made.)
I would maybe reword or consider changing the text size in your main text block so the word "Together" is not split to the next line. If you push the word "together" to the next line be sure to add a word so it doesn't sit there by itself. That second paragraph is one long sentence. Maybe consider making it two sentences.
The shadows on the bottom scene on the monkey and tree scene is coming from one direction. Then the top monkey wrapped around the "G" has a shadow as though the light hits from a different direction. Also, consider the shadow that is also different on your three pics on the right.
Maybe consider aligning the top of the set of the three pics on the right to the top of the "x-height" of your title "Text Headings - Sugar Pie". Since that line is much more stronger to align to, rather than to the top of the capital letters.
The word "The" is spelt wrong in your last paragraph.
Maybe either left align or center the links below the word "Brochure" to the word "Brochure."
Overall, I like this concept and how you have the monkey on the letter "G".
i'm a color freak.. so i just have to comment on how great these colors are :) the only thing i can think of changing is taking down the size of the breadcrumb text a point or two. nice work :)
Thank you for your feedback! I played with that, and it does look better a tad smaller!
Nothing really sticks out at me, I liked this a version back or so too.
The only thing that I see is the navigation at the top - The text is really tight together and slightly harder to read.
Eric, Thanks for the comment! I changed the typeface to match the rest of the site. Better?
Thanks for your help!
Yeah, I think that fits in better since you have that font for the navigation on the left column too.
This design intimidates me. Everything from the green-scape to the monkey's banana eating grin spells money. I can't think of a mother in the suburban world that wouldn't at least bookmark this site, if not for just the design itself. The vector work is top, use of colors is over the top to the point where you just wanna squeeze your monitor staring at it. Stop me now, please. Only second to another design, I give this my highest marks on my young CFB opinionated career. I'm going to punch my pillows now.
Very well done, I think you have a hit here. I like what you have done with adding the pics, it now looks more like a portrait site. I would just try to simplify the top a bit. Take out the group of people and think about placing the "host a party" elsewhere. Other than that, great work!
I absolutely love the colors and the vector graphics. Looks very fresh and modern while staying cute and attractive.
I love it when I saw that the empty cloud above the side menu is filled with new element ^.^ and the footer is perfect now ;)
Woooooow i love it, great work . you might also decrease breadcrumb size a bit
The overall design of this is breathtaking. The colors and vectors really stand out from the crowd and draw you in.
The only things I would change are very tiny. First, in the left navigation (under the Brochure graphic), I think it would look better if you either centered the links to the blue box or left-aligned them instead of center.
Second, even though the green play button under the photos on the right side of the design should be self explanatory (I'm guessing it launches a slide-show for all of the images?), it never hurts to put some simple "Slideshow" text or whatnot to give the user a prod as to its function. It might help make the button look less lonely.
Lastly, in the newsletter signup form in the footer, I would definitely change the "OK" to something more exciting like "Go!" or "Send". Something more...monkey-ish. ;)
Overall, great design - love it!
I like the style. But two things to consider:
I like it. A few specific points:
The graphics in the "brochure" cloud seem a little off. I'm not sure that the Acrobat logo (if that's what it is) will be recognized by your target market, and that text has a 3d perspective that doesn't exist anywhere else on the page.
Personally I'm not a huge fan of the font for the navigation and headings, but I suspect that's a matter of taste. It works find in the logo, I think it makes the headings a little hard to read.
The vertically oriented photo gallery is a nice addition over the previous version. I'd consider changing the Green "next" arrow to point down or not at all. The "play" style changes orientation from horizontal to vertical. Not to take you too far afield, but a scrolling widget might work there (so that clicking the "play" button slides a new image in from the bottom, dropping the one on top)
As others have noted, the breadcrumb font could be a little smaller.
The text of the white on light blue vertical navigation bar on the left is a little low contrast.
I suspect that's placeholder copy, but if not the copy could use a little work. "If you've never heard of a Grin Party..." seems like a weak opening to me.
I love overall design. I think it is pretty playful and fun. I am not so sure about the silhouettes, maybe make them larger or change them. The main thing i think is out of place is the content. I would really go all out and have sections as clouds and smth to fit into your style. But great job overall, i love it
The design fits the concept quite well.
I would only criticize the gray people in the middle. They look a little out of place.
I love this design, the colour, the monkey and the clouds. If it was me, I would give the thumbnails on the right a treat, I meant the photo holders, I like it more flat, without shadow, like the way you did with the clouds and the site title. The rest are just great!
Absolutely gorgeous, illustrations really put it over the top.
ou i like it very much (: ... but the kids are a kind of humans and reality and destroy the comic effects
