    Rotate The Cursor?

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 1:06 PM

This graphic caught my eye immediately. You've presented the logo with a sleek, metallic, professional look but... otherwise, it seems a bit simplistic. That's not necessarily a bad thing though!

I like the use of the cursor but it seems as though it may be lost should this logo be represented in a smaller format. (I didn't even know there was a cursor in the logo when I first clicked on your concept under "Recent Concepts", for example.) But what really bothers me is that it's pointing to the bottom right, rather than the top left, as most mouse cursors typically are. It just doesn't seem natural.

I might increase the leading a smidge too, just to give it a little more breathing room.

Above all, though, I think it looks totally pro!

    Get rid of the pointer

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 1:11 PM

Get rid of the mouse pointer. The mouse pointer is really overdone and doesn't really add anything to this design. I like the way that you have done the word "iseko" but think that the "interactive media" doesn't really go that way that it is. Try making it smaller and a thinner font. Then align it left and I think you'll have something.

Thanks a Lot for the feedback Nate, I will try it and see how it works out;)

Which of the 3 versions do you think works best? Thanks

The first concept is the strongest.

    Arrow

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 1:58 PM

I like the first the best but the arrow is kind of sloppy. I would also add some color, right now it feels really bland. You might also want to add some sort of icon instead of the logo only being text with this tiny little arrow.

    the arrow

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 3:09 PM

I like the first concept, but I agree with the others that the arrow could be improved or replaced with something more creative. Maybe you can keep the I undotted. I would also slightly darken Interactive Media so it doesn't blend with the background as much.

    Without the effects...

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 3:38 PM

If you take away all the gradients and drop shadows it is a very straight forward execution. Squinting a bit to get rid of all the fancy stuff the "O" is too far away from the k, the I a bit to close to the S and the cursor disappears. "Interactive Media" feels a bit too tight as well.,.. especially if the logo was to be scaled down in size... drop the point size a tad and kern it out a bit...

I think you could do a lot more to express interactivity then just having a cursor floating there... it isn't interacting with anything causing the logo to feel rather static when what you want to convey is "dynamic"

numbers 2 and 3 don't do a whole lot except add more "stuff". I'd work with a simplified version of number one and then experiment with ways to introduce a dynamic feel in an integrated fashion

    good start though

    re-think

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 3:41 PM

I'm sorry, I don't see a big idea behind the logo, you're just relying the concept behind styles(drop shadows, etc) and a pointer, but I don't see anything that would stand out from this logo.

    Need some branding

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 4:30 PM

To create a good logo you need more information about the client itself. Some cuestions to start may clarify... Is this a proyect or a business? What makes it different from others? What does the name mean? What´s the specific area of work?

Hi, well the Logo is for me, it should represent me and what i do, which is Flash Websites, banners, Print, Motion design and animations. The name iSeko is my personal shortened name as Ivaylo Seoulitchky is rather complicated. I normally don't have problems creating logos and identities, but as this is for me it is kind of difficult:)

Yep, the toughest client is yourself! But hey, It`s your logo! Have some fun with it. Look for things that represent you rather than your own name: The way you work. The way you see the clients. The way you understand what is design. Chek more the concept rather than the form (shadows, effects).

      Good look!

    Inner shaddow to strong

Posted on Jan 06, 2010 at 9:18 PM

Everything design wise is great. However I'm not liking the shadows used =\ Maybe try to keep it more simple? And make the "I" have more of a distinguished color.

    arrow and bottom texts

Posted on Jan 07, 2010 at 5:33 AM

you could flip the arrow if you want to keep the arrow on the logo, and the text under it, the "interactive media", it seems almost disappear and blend with your background. Try to make it a bit darker. :)

    Maybe brighten the cursor

Posted on Jan 09, 2010 at 12:17 AM

The only thing that I might add is that the color of the cursor should possibly be lighter, if not white.

I especially like the two tone, in/out effect of the third example.

    Very nice.

    Pointer and Inner Shadow.

I think you will get more elegancy by removing those effects and replace the pointer with a dot.

I hope it will be useful.

    "Interactive Media" color

Posted on Jan 13, 2010 at 8:25 PM

I'd say the best one is the middle one, because of that unique design. I love how the mouse is rotated differently than a normal mouse, it'd catching. the only think I'd say is to make the words "Interactive Media" a little bit darker.
