First off, I love the logo. It's a bit dated, but it's so well done I don't think it matters. I like the colors because they're simple. I'd really have to see you incorporate it into other designs and layouts, but as a logo I really dig it. It conveys well what the brand/company does while keeping it simple and memorable.
My only critique is that I feel the spacing between the services and the bullets or "dots" are way to close together. Otherwise great job!
This is actually quite cool, however the kerning needs tightening.
I think the strapline / tagline needs to be changed, I graphic and print are generally the same...
with the folded dot, it would look even cooler if they were joined at some point showing the folding intricacies better.
Anyway good luck!
I like the paper-like look! I am just wondering if the blue dots between web and graphic and print maybe could be square?
Other than that.. great work!
hej nathalie,
yeah they could be. i'll try square dots to see whether they improve the concept or not.
thanks for the comment and thought.
I really like the concept. Although I would say that because you are giving the look of paper in the logo - it would make more sense that the predominant service would be print? Just a thought. Also I'm not too sure that the web.graphic and print line up properely with the dot - it looks slightly unbalanced. I really like the simplicity and colours. Nice work!
I like the idea of oragami but not for the entire logo. I would maybe focus on one object to do the oragami and not the entire name. Also, the other font that you used doesn't seem to go with the oragami.
I really like this idea, which probably betrays my age. It was very common in early 80s and I used a similar approach with some logos myself.
I suggest reducing the ascender height, to 2x line thickness, or less. A guide would be to drop the crossbar of the T, deleting the area between it and the x height.
The descriptor font looks completely out-of-place. Perhaps something squarer, less upright. The D and O are very symmetrical, so maybe something that siys better with that.
Move the descriptor line to align with the inside edge of the downstroke of D at left and the outside edge of the downstroke of T at right. Make the dots square and same lighter grey of logotype.
Replace either of the words GRAPHIC or PRINT. They mean the same thing.
Hope this helps.
I like the idea, and design but I'm not sure if the grey works. It would be worth trying the 'dot' part of the logo with different colours, maybe that nice blue you have as circles.
The only other thing would, the 'dot' initially looked stretched. Maybe bringing the 't' down would help with this.
Great concept, very original. The contrast between the light and dark gray is a little too high. It disjoints the logo a little bit too much. You could lighten up the darker areas and still achieve the look you want.
Something is a little off about the alignment as well. This might be difficult to fix because of the wide bottom of the d and the extension of the t. Unfortunately I'm not really sure what to suggest, but it does look a little awkward because of this.
I really love the logo. It is a bit dated, but I still like it. First of all, I noticed that you forgot the drop shadow in the right bottom corner of the d. Also, I think the two different grays are to far apart, maybe try one that's 20% and 36% black.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah you're right on the space the dots and text. I'll fix that.
