    her demands... ugghh

Posted on Dec 25, 2009 at 12:27 PM

I like the green color for the font with the gray stroke. It may fit the company better than the previous designs where they were flat and more elegant.

I feel that the clothes and accessories part is hanging on for it's life and feels like it could fall off at any point. Plus the pink paint splatter behind it just doesn't seem to fit in with the crisp typography.

If your client wants green / pink, maybe clothes and accessories could be in pink and treated more like you had in the first few designs of this logo?

I guess candycandy seems too dominant to have the clothes and accessories kind of just hanging around.

    the tagline...

Posted on Dec 25, 2009 at 5:09 PM

the candycandy part looks really good but i dont think theres just a relationship with spray paints to clothes and designs...hey wait, i think there is...you know, tshirt printing sometimes use spray paints..so i think this is acceptable..

    Fonts

Posted on Dec 25, 2009 at 6:04 PM

I think the colors are great and I like the splatter of pink it reminds me of Candy.

Where this fails for me is CandyCandy is a playful expression and this is not portrayed well in the fonts.(imo).

I'm thinking there has to be more fun in the font especially in "clothes and accessories".

"She liked it very much" In that case it aint broken.

    I like it

Posted on Dec 25, 2009 at 8:41 PM

I see this kind of fun "creative" imagery at hip-hop/emo/teen princess stores in the mall and on television all the time. But I'd likely never buy anything from these sorts. So your target market might need to be narrowed down some.

But I do like the design itself.

I say go with it. But first try to liven up "clothes & accessories" a bit.

    Color.

Posted on Dec 27, 2009 at 9:48 PM

I like it. I really do. A logo does not need to be in relation to the 'business' but more of the prospects and potential. The color. Try it with remove the pink spray behind. Nonetheless, its a job well done.

remove the pink spray element and the small texts

Posted on Dec 30, 2009 at 10:42 AM

I thought that the color and font type for the word "candy" is great. But when the pink spray element and the small text are added, it spoil the entire display.

    Who is the customer

Posted on Dec 30, 2009 at 12:26 PM

Who is her customer? What is the customer profile for her shop.

I like the previous designs that you did as they were elegant and designer looking. This new design looks like they are selling more high street clothes and to a younger market.

If the customer like this and she knows her customer style then this logo is good.

Need work on the paint spray

Posted on Jan 01, 2010 at 12:44 AM

candycandy look nice. Great gradient, great border. Very fun.

The "clothes & accessories: is where you fall apart. The paint spray doesn't have meaning, and makes the words un-readable.

My personal preference when I use tilted words, to not use a serif font... the askew text should give it randomness and the font should reflect that... either with distress or font style.

    Love the colors!

    The stroke is too thick.

Posted on Jan 02, 2010 at 8:45 PM

The green is a little sickly next to the pink and the stroke around the letters makes them harder to read.

    Not a huge fan

Posted on Jan 04, 2010 at 8:50 PM

I saw your most recent version so I won't come down on this one too hard. The colors aren't really working together and this would be a hard logo to translate to different pieces.

    everything

Posted on Dec 27, 2009 at 5:47 PM

Not very creative, looks a little thrown together. Especially "Clothes & Accessories". The purpose of a logo is to make a positive impact/draw on the consumer, while attempting to provide a snapshot of what the company does. Also, I don't see the gradient and spray paint translating well to a label, so you might want to rethink it.

You can still use the candycandy typography, but how about integrate some stitch-work around the sub-title? Just an idea :)
