for a clothes and accessories shop i think number 1 fits the best. you have great concepts but certainly you shouldnt stop here.

    ampersand

Posted on Dec 23, 2009 at 9:19 PM

Maybe check out how other ampersands look with the first one? It's not bad, I just like the ones that look more like a G than a q...

1 maybe try to give "accessories" a little more breathing room, it's pretty crowded in there compared to "clothes &"

3 reads CC - andy andy to me

    4 is too blocky

Just an idea, not even sure how it would work - For the first change "clothes" to "clothing", remove the "&" and attempt to make the first "y" into an ampersand, although it may make it look completely awkward...

    the background

Posted on Dec 24, 2009 at 12:09 AM

logo doesn't standout enough. colors blend too much. the white spot in behind the logo helps, but it logo makes the logo more difficult to read. it takes a few seconds to read the logo, and it shouldn't take that long.

i like the logo style, but it needs to be more simple.

    The color...

Posted on Dec 24, 2009 at 10:13 AM

The first and the third look good, but I prefer the first. It looks elegant, which is your aim. However, I don't really like the color of the logo...

I think they are all a bit too crowded with stuff. I would keep it more simpler. Look at McDonalds logo. It's a simple one letter "M"

    Very cool font.

Posted on Dec 24, 2009 at 2:54 PM

I would go for the 1st and last one. I prefer the 1st.

However try to work at the kerning / proportions so that the clothes and accessories have mathematical exact distances from the descenders of the main font.

    the colors

Posted on Dec 24, 2009 at 6:31 PM

It would be useful to know what kind of clothing and accessories are in the store. the background is part of brand?

Anyway: 1 - very nice but I'm afraid that is a bit 'unreadable 2 - I do not manage to reach the goal 3 - I think is better, but removing the lettering below the logo 4 - too simple 5 - is not a brand but a written

    good work!

know one thing: I would add a touch of feminility. not that we should use the pink :) but maybe you could add some tinsel

As per the requirements of making this logo "elegant and simple" than the first design hits the spot.

Though I'm not sure elegant is what you should be aiming for considering the playfulness of the store's title "candycandy".
