the logo font satisfy theme, but can't say same about the black and white bg.
why don't you try paper like brown texture in bg.
I don't mind the font, kerning needs some work, and a little leading. I'm not so sure about what the star has to do with western, except that its in the song for Texas, maybe make the star look more like spurs
At first the star looked like the sun to me, like the "western sun" or how the sun sets in the west. It also reminds me of a spur, which is also western.

Thanks for the review ;)
The "star", is a spur indeed, i even based that drawing in a picture taken from the internet ;)
Thanks for the tips, i'll pay more attention next time :)
Sam Gordon:
It's exactly that ;)
Thanks!
right font and placement i agree, why brown? url in bottom is awkward
Thanks for the review =D
The brown is just to "simulate" a ductape... like those used to seal boxes...
The url in the tape ( www.westernhorse.com.br ), is not active yet... ;)
but its hard to understand the concept though...
Is a identity to a fashion company, especialized in country clothing...
;)
Thanks!
This is really well done. The color yellow could be a shade darker, but other than that, fantastic job on this!
I like it. Maybe choose a different secondary color to go with the yellow, but overall the typography and star work well together. Well done.
I really like the way this is headed. The type is well executed and i get a few interpretations from the star form - sheriff's badge, sun, and when combined with the type it looks like a boot spur. I would tighten up the kerning between the W and the E just a tad... it feels like it is sitting just a bit loose... and I would also consider adding some sort of negative space texture to the typography... just a little to rough it up a hair and give it more of a country feel
Thanks for the review..
Yeah, i agree with you, the kerning between W and E, should be a little more tight...
About texturing the typography...i don't know... maybe this can make the logo better... But i've already finished the logo with the client... =/ Now is a little difficult to change something..
But i'll probably try it ;)
Thanks!
i like it and the results when embedded in prints looks really great! ^_^
I love what you've done. I'm just not a big fan of true black. A different hue/shade of black would work a little better, or even a more engaging color. But over all, great job!
I had done that, but the client specified these colors for me. So I did as he asked ;)
Thanks for the review!
