I generally like most of your designs and over the past 3 months you have come a LOOOONG way...congrats dude!

To be honest they are both a bit bland, could you try some sort of 3D approach maybe with cafe coffee within the coffee cup itself?

Good luck, I think you have awesome designs, I wish I was as successful!

    First One

Posted on Dec 18, 2009 at 1:24 AM

The first one is much more appropriate. When I first saw the second one that C shape made me think it was a big magnet. The first one is more recognisable as a cup of coffee :)

I like the progress of the 1st concept

Posted on Dec 18, 2009 at 8:02 AM

I would do the following to finalize this logo:

    1. Make the swirl in the cup softer, put some sort of blur on the line.
    2. Take the highlight off the handle

After that I think you could call things finished here. Good progress!

    Improve the type

Posted on Dec 18, 2009 at 3:27 PM

I think coffee needs to be thicker, possibly a bold.

    the font used is awesome.

The top one is better with the swirl.

    The tilted C is distracting.

    Great Job

    Great...

Posted on Dec 18, 2009 at 7:17 PM

I just need to add that the swril needs to be cleaner, softer. I agree with the dude that said that "coffee" can be bold. I think if you bold it and put the two words together will look awesome... But It's great too...

    THE FIRST ONE FOR SURE!

    the swirl in the coffee

I prefer the first one. The only thing you need to do is blur and make the C shape softer

    first one

Posted on Dec 22, 2009 at 5:01 AM

The first one is the i'd go for, however there are many things you could do with the swirl in the middle.

    Perhaps something like:-

def the first one. but i agree with pushing the swirl, if at least just making the swirl thicker and tapering at the ends? maybe it could read more like a C. i'd also spend a little time playing with your kerning in Cafe Coffee...esp between the F and E's :)

    Swirl

Posted on Jan 05, 2010 at 1:54 PM

I love the first concept I think its ready to go as is. The only I would probably change is the swirl. I would probably make it 1px thicker. It's so thin right now it looks kinda pixelated, like Super Nintendo, when video games weren't anti-aliased : ) Good work!

EE's in Coffee look a bit off center

Posted on Jan 20, 2010 at 11:36 PM

Great tones overall, though I feel the whole Cafe Coffee seems to bee off center regarding the main logo....

The first one is brilliant, though you may lose some of the tonal color rings as the design gets reduced to letterhead, etc. Maybe try to enlarge the cup artwork a bit? other than that, I really like this a lot
