    make vines more organically balanced

Posted on Dec 13, 2009 at 6:46 PM

Problem with illustartor swirls (Brushes is they have been done to death . Having said that if the client wants done to death swirls let it be. The main problem I'm seeing here is there is no realistic organic connection between (left to right)1-3 swirl the one to the right of studio works ok . I belief 1-3 will have to be scaled /distorted or other wise tortured into a more believable/flow from the letters. The "f"from forever is not working for me its crunched and blah - first job would be to get that mess sorted.(IMO) If we have to have it merged with this font I'm seeing a possibility of r in remember and f in forever they could share a half ark as a place to start.

    Readability

Posted on Dec 14, 2009 at 9:00 AM

I love where you are going with this logo. Your readability is suffering quite a bit here though. You are also not going to be able to reverse this logo or use one color at all. Certainly something to think about before you call this a final design. I love the vines on forever but the vines on remember could be better. The colors work well together, just fix a few things and I think you will have a great logo.

Yep totally agree with you on this, I will work on a second and third version, and I take on board all comments and feedback.

the blue type on top of the black type makes this hard to read. you need to work on the contrast there.

    Overlapping

Posted on Dec 14, 2009 at 10:18 AM

One minor problem I see is the overlapping letter f with the e in "remember". Play with the spacing a little bit because cutting off that large section of "e" and having the tail peek out bit looks a little accidental. But definite good start!

make the leaves on the swirls similar sizes

Posted on Dec 14, 2009 at 10:36 AM

The difference between the leaf size of the "r"and the "f" of forever are very different. It would be nice if the leaves have everywhere the same amount of details in them. Furhtermore, the first "e" at remember has a bit on the other side of the "f" it makes it a bit confusing. maybe you have to put "forever" a bit further right?
