I think it looks amazing. I don't know how it's going to look like when it's ready and online, but you could try to make the font in the text body bigger.
From the work that you have posted in the past I don't think this site does a good job at displaying your work and who you are. When I first go to it, it feels like some sort of nature preservation site. The pictures in the background, while very nice pictures, don't seem to have any rhyme or reason. Your logo is also a bit obscure and I could have almost gone through the whole site without seeing it. The nav bar feels like you didn't know what else to do, so you just put a bar at the top of the design.
I'm bashing the site quite a bit here but let me also say that I think the site looks very clean and neat and is better than a lot of stuff I see on concept feedback. I just think you could do a much better job of showcasing who DTMedia really is.
no offense taken we are entitled to our own opinions, To understand the pictures you have to read the text on the homepage. Conceptually the site is designed around a sentence from our vision/mission statement "helping others achieve their goals so we can achieve ours" The images represent our goal of traveling the world. Each page being a different destination.
I think the reality of the situation is that most people will do what I did. Go through the site skimming and not reading things carefully. It's a good thought, but I think the vast majority of people will end up thinking, at first, that you are either some sort of nature website or a photographer. People on the web have such a short attention span, first impressions are EVERYTHING!
These are certainly my thoughts and may not echo the thoughts of everyone else. Take my opinions in stride and feel free to ignore them. i hope that my thoughts can help you in some small way!
hey brian, great job on this site. i love the full photo backgrounds. ive got a double monitor set up and even totally blown up they looked pretty great in the live site. i like the friendly/fun descriptions on the about page, and the dreaming of visiting those places was a nice touch. there's a glitch on my viewing of the "contact" page, a scroll bar pops up in the input box area. those bright white boxes on that dark background photo is really maybe my least favorite part about the whole site. maybe choose a brighter photo, or stylize the boxes to fit the photo more.. and instead of putting "required" next to the name and email, you could just have it return an error if they don't fill them in.. would make the page look nicer and simpler me thinks :) i like the see through gray stylization, really a beautiful job! cant wait to read through your pretty blog
scroll bar glitch is happening in Firefox, on a mac.. just in case you wondered..
text can be more larger just a little feedback
Very nice pics but little texts ;)
