    variation 2

u dont want to have competing symbols, the star and the bold. i think the spark K looks alot etter than the sun flare tittle. go for the second.

    No go for the bolt

Posted on Dec 06, 2009 at 11:47 PM

I think there's a lot of potential behind the theme of 'sparks.' For example, maybe put a sparkler for the i in Bright. or maybe an upside down one for the p. One or the other.

Also, not sure the gradient is what you want here. Maybe try removing the spacing between the two words and bolding one.

    Best of luck.

PS: from this batch, I'd vote Var3 with a smaller bolt.

    Variation 2

Posted on Dec 07, 2009 at 3:49 AM

I like the font and colors are working well. I feel like the spark above the word bright, reminds me too much of a sun. I like variation 1 the best because it has a strong concept and works well. I think the white should have a bit more depth to it though, it feels a bit too flat, compared to the gradient on the rest of the logo.

    Capitol Letters

Posted on Dec 07, 2009 at 9:31 AM

lately.. there's been a trend of all lower case, or all upper case, i think either might be a better direction. try all uppers.. BRIGHT SPARK or all lowers bright spark, or sometimes just a capitol to separate them brightSpark i think the white spark you have in variation 4 is best, but i would move it away from the dot of the i.. which is very cliché now.. i also wouldnt work in color gradient at this point.. try black on white first... until you get the form figured out. also using different fonts might help. im looking forward to seeing where this goes! keep pushing it

    ....

I wouldn't make the spark so symmetrical and perfect. I'd make each point a random length.

I'd change the gradient from a straight up-and-down, to be relative to wherever the spark appears. Do a big circle centered on the spark's center, and apply a radial gradient to it. Then put it inside the letters. That should give the appearance that the spark is casting light on the letters.

    the spark itself

Posted on Dec 08, 2009 at 6:40 AM

I dont think that the spark is making an impact in your design. It more of a bright lightning to me. You may want to look into having a design of a spark. Something like what I have attached. Playing around with the color may help as well. You could try and maybe the light shine on bright.

    Bolt

Maybe you could use the bolt as the S in spark. Make it a more integrated piece.

    good Start

Posted on Dec 14, 2009 at 3:35 PM

I think you're going in a good direction.

I like the first one, but I see a combo of AC/DC and Harry Potter. I think a lot of the coloring would depend on the background. Right now, the orange and black are giving me a halloween vibe. And its hard for me not to be distracted by that and really look at the logo.

    But overall, good start
