    Make the I thinner

Posted on Dec 05, 2009 at 5:37 PM

It looks pretty solid already. I like that the characters look like steel beams. I think the I has too much weight. Try to make it the same weight as the other characters.

What's the story with the dots?

Some little things I would change:

    1) The little angular accent left to the I: I would make it horizontal. 2) I could be mistaken, but is the lower half of the Z broader than the upper? If it is, then I would make it the same width as the upper half. 3) The lower section of the y has this peak. I would make it like in the Z's.

Hi, Jakob. Thanks for the comments. I worked with the 'I' but I am fond of the angular accent. And you were right of Z and Y. Change it. Check out the new file.

      Looks much better now.

Maybe try to move the lower box of the y a bit lower and to the left, so that it's right under the upper left box. As it is now the y looks a bit short.

    i like it but...

what are those brown dots and why does the "y" have a sharp edge but nothing else does? maybe that should just be a rectangular box like at the top of the "y"

    Missing something.

This looks like a really nice logo, but I would consider doing more with the typography - perhaps add another feature to the Y that makes it feel more relevant to machines and materials.

They want to go to specific. According to the brief. So I updated a new logo. Thanks .

    fix the i

Posted on Dec 06, 2009 at 8:29 PM

the logo and type look great but the letter I, make the top bar accross straight rather than that weird angle, it looks like a mistake. keep it at 90 degrees.

    Couple of revisions

Also consider perhaps taking the bottom row of beads off the i.

My apologizes for the rushed photoshop job, hope you find some value to it.

    Not a bad start

Posted on Dec 07, 2009 at 7:38 AM

I like the simplicity of this logo. Try and bring the dots on the eye so that there is a gap between them and the "i" itself. Maybe you could also add an orange period to the end of "izzy" to tie the color in more. Good start!

Sever the right extended tail of the "y"

Posted on Dec 05, 2009 at 4:55 PM

There is nothing wrong here ...just a personal choice would be to sever the y at the bottom right leaving an angled mirror compliment to the stacked oranges. I always try to imagine a logo in practice I could see this on uniforms or hard hats or pick up truck decals -should serve you well.
