I think it sits well
I'm coming to it for solutions not eye candy ,the site has a professional restrained even attitude again I think good qualities for your demo graph.
As you move into the site there is some clashy font things going on ?I am not familiar with site point so I don't know to what degree you control things like that for me any heading has to stand apart from body text that's what I mean by "clashy:

i see what you are going for here with the width of this content area but i think it makes i feel awkward i would extend it to the edges - overall good job...

The design looks good. I really like the News and Blog title boxes with the triangles to lead into the content. The color scheme works as well.
I'd suggest a few adjustments: move the right column up so the search box aligns with the top of the picture or with the top of the navigation. Although white space is good, I feel that this use of white space could be improved. Also, I would scale down the height of the green below the main picture and perhaps consider removing the piece of the picture that is cut off in the bottom right quadrant of the green.
I'd also consider increasing the line-height of the text. I feel like I have to move closer to the screen to read through everything.

the site isnt bad, but what you do, ie software development, is not prominent enough.
you mention the company name several times which is good. but i would bring front and center what you do, big and bold.

This is a great start. There are a few things that you could do to improve the look though.
- Align logo and navigation all the way to the left
- Bring the search bot up to align with the top of the box.
- Add some sort of stroke or shadow to the box to make it more interesting
- Your content could also use a little detail attention. It looks a little sparse and too spacious. Try putting some of the test on a light colored box to add some more hierarchy.
