It's a very different design which i think could help distinguish yourself from the crowd. Make sure you match the flash piece with the background.

it might be fun to make it more lively, maybe make a little bit of a mess on the floor like a bag of chips or a crooked painting on the wall.

I like it, the only thing I would change is the menu bar, try something fun with them. You placed the lava lamp and a trophy up there, why not making the menu bar as some picture frames? Just an idea ;)
Pretty cool idea. Don't get too personal though, they could judge you on what type of music you like. Sounds crazy but first impression is a big thing. Otherwise, looks great and a really good idea.
