Looks really fun and festive now. I love the red headings and bar, it all looks fantastic. Well done!
I'm a tough reviewer indeed, just because I like it doesn't mean it necessarily deserves more starts. That being said, you did do a great job on this!
Looks great. The colors match and the layout is very clean. Well done!
I would bring that in to a width the same as the rest of the template.
They recommend that you don't go more than 600px wide, so you don't want any horizontal scrolling.
Other than that its great, i absolutely love it.
nice job
its very attractive and reflecting the happiness and festive season
This is so much against the guidelines that everything important should be at the top left corner, but I still like it. It looks so good! Though I would make the logo smaller...
Change out the picture of the girl blowing a dandelion on the photobook. I used that picture about 4 years ago on a project and have seen it about 100 times since then. Using stock images is a great way to save money but we need to try and find ones that haven't been used to death.
hey thanks for the feedback but i didn't make the stock image that's what the company wants to use.
i guess its almost ready..
Love it... missing something in the header but a great start!!!
Hey Rivera,
This is a great landing page, I presume there will be some navigation, search, basket, information elements in once the user clicks through?
I think you've clear communicated what the company does and merchandised the products well.
My only criticism - And this is quite an important one, is that I don't think your call to action button appears above the fold. There is a largish proportion of users who dont scroll on their first visit so need to make sure you accommodate for them! :-)
hey this is not a landing page its an email blast to customers of 1800postcards.com
I loved the design. I think it looks very clean and inviting for an email campaign. And in response to the fold comment... the fold is a myth! It is a term borrowed from the newspaper industry and the analogy quickly breaks down. A newspaper fold comes at a specific point while on the web the point at which the user begins to scroll varies based on browser, resolution, window size and number of toolbars. even beyond that... users do scroll!
i point you to this wonderful expirement. http://blog.clicktale.com/?p=19
Hi Julio - That was my first review on here which is why I didn't see the title stating this was a landing page, sorry! Did you vote me down because of that?
ORyan - Not sure what your background is, but you obviously havn't studied Jacob!!??
The Clicktale study you pointed to found that only 76% of users scrolled and only 22% of users scrolled to the bottom, which conversely shows how important it is to have key content above the fold. That's exactly why Clicktale exists!
As a usability practitioner I spend half my life watching this same behaviour from clients users! And the other half feeding this back to designers / site managers!
However, as I stated this was a small negative of what is an otherwise highly credible design (from a conversion standpoint).
Matt
nope it was not me. someone did. this mail was design to look alittle different then the boring onces that we always see.
@ Matt Clark: You beat me to it -- thanks for setting everyone straight on the fold "myth."
Fun and festive. I like the way the ribbon that says "order by dec" wraps around the box it's covering.
I don't like the way the seasons greeting card sits. I think it's the way it's angeled outward. It kinda looks like it's floating on air.
I'm also not sure I like that snow very much. Maybe play around with other snow images and see if you can find a better one.
the snow give it the xmas look lol. i didnt want to put snow flakes because it will take away for the point in this email blast.
I think that you choose very well the position of the things. I just think that the ribbon should be at the up right position, in the grey area... I miss something in the grey area :S.
The rest is clean, direct and easy to undesrtand. Very good!
The other idea is to put the logo in the blue area, in the up-left (not so close to the left part).. Try it, a little bit smaller...
hey you like it but you give me a 3 on design damm lol.
