hey Nate good job friend!!
Very very good. Only thing I see is that I would make the green text on the green boxes whiter, it is a bit hard to read now.
Too good to be true..hahaha. Nicely done bro!
Maybe its just my crappy laptop screen from work, but it took an awful long time to scroll down the page, and to be honest before the fold i didn't see much at all, nothing that would make me scroll down. (im on a crappy resolution, but you need to remember alot of potential clients could be too.
Not a fan of the huge text etc, but thats just a personal preference than it being a bad design, as overll its very nice and works.
Hey Alan - these days I feel pretty safe designing for 1024x768. I don't want to be held back by the minority of the population running smaller resolutions than that. What resolution are you on?
Thanks so much for your thoughts!
Looking at it at home, its still fairly large for me, i would also look at swapping my menu and logo around, people always go top left for logo.
It does look great though, if the padding was taken down a tad. lol
i like where you are heading with this one i would still like to see more pages and links to click
Thanks for the feedback Newbird. This is actually a one pager. No more pages will be added.
Hey Nate,
My two cents:
You should consider revising the color scheme. There are many places where you're using bright colors on bright backgrounds or shades of color that make the button or heading hard to read.
I'm sorry but I see the background pattern fading as a really bad idea. It just looks bad. I would try something else or just get rid of it.
You're using h1, h3 tags the wrong way. Avoid multiple h1 tags and use h3 tags for headings. Also I would suggest that you loose the tables. Tables are for tabular data.
Besides that I like the usage of negative space the clear look and the big fonts.
Cheers, Z.
Simple n neat. pls. check the kerning between L & I
I think you did well with stuff in your website. I really like designers that can make big things work fine on monitors.
What I like most is the idea of scrolling. Depending on where we stop, we see a different layout without loosing the original Idea...
The green tones work fine for me too... Congrats!
I partially agree with Graffino about the wood texture, but I don't think you should get rid of it. The light wood is a nice change from the typical dark, burnt wood you see everywhere else. Try giving it a fixed position so it stays visible wile scrolling. I think the fact that it disappears when you scroll is what's ruining the concept.
I love the letterpress text effect in the banner and subtle gradients. Why not try the 960pixels width standard because i have a little resolution problem in my Google chrome browser.
Thanks for the speedy review Swarat!
