    make it partly cloudy

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 1:16 AM

this looks amazing! i love so much about it.

i just feel its too cloudy and needs more breathing room.

I don't think you need the clouds behind the logo.

try to use the clouds similar to this effect http://www.energycell.co.uk/ just a suggestion!

    great design!

    Space

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 8:32 AM

It needs a little more room to breathe.

The arrows need to be alittle further away, and the 3 columns could do with a little more spacing from the top and from each other.

Its a nice design, and being a Star Wars geek myself, i love the little image down the bottom.

    Cool design

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 8:58 AM

This is a very cool and sleek design. It's a bit busy and could have slightly better hierarchy but it looks really good still. Really well done, keep up the good work!

    ooowww, overload.

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 12:26 PM

I must say the overall design is very compelling, when I saw a little thumbnail I had to click and check it out.

But there are too many elements on the page.

I think the easiest way to solve this, is making the big picture of three screenshots much smaller.

I think you have enough 'cool things' on the site, that make the first impression you are looking for, so you can afford to loose one.

So I would try to present whatever it is (portfolio?) in a more solid 'regular' box, with all the effect and the attention that the triple screenshot takes.

In terms of engagement, I might switch the "get quote" with "a little about me" (note the missing space there, btw), and add a button or more obvious 'clickable' item under 'get a quote', since the site is lacking a stronger call to action.

Other than that - great design!

    MAke bigger the header logo

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 4:56 PM

I like it very much, so original, colors are cool and illustration matches perfectly.

Maybe I'll increase the header logo and reduce the 3 windows to leave more space for the left text.

    Don't forget to make a footer :)

    Nice

    too much

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 10:31 PM

You know this already but... good stuff, just too much of it. You can start by losing the icons from the menu and using only one screencap at the "see project" section.

    slider area

Posted on Dec 01, 2009 at 1:19 PM

Overall, Love the design...especially the fonts you have used and the combination of those fonts. It has a creative fun vibe, and is easy to see what you have going on. My only suggestion would be to make the slider area in the middle a little smaller so it fits within the cloud area, It is just overwhelming all the great design you have put into the design. Like I said, great job!

    like the illustrated clouds

Posted on Dec 01, 2009 at 4:16 PM

I think the illustrated clouds look really good.

Maybe give a little more breathing room to the text on the left.

    less crowded

Posted on Dec 02, 2009 at 9:09 AM

I think that the cloud in the background is awesome. But the information in it seems to be crowded. Maybe just one image of the project vs three? Than more focus can be spent on it.

The use of the laptop kinda makes me think it's an ad to buy a Mac.

I'm not quite sure I like the image under get quote. It seems more detailed than the other images on the page. Maybe something simpler like the clouds?

    Good design, a few tweaks...

Posted on Dec 02, 2009 at 5:44 PM

a like the concept, think its quite creative and clearly laid out.

    A few suggestions of tweaks:

Ensure the wording in the foot is consistent with the header - i.e. Select Work vs Portfolio Use "Launch" rather than "See Project" as call to action, Launch is expected whereas you can already "see" the project (or at least part of it) Make it clear on the top nav where you currently are Increase the amount of space the main page is allowed, its nly around half the total at the moment, think you can shrink the headers and footers a little to do this.

    Hope that helps!

    Whoa the clouds!

Posted on Dec 02, 2009 at 7:32 PM

Man, I think that you are in the way. I like it very much, but I think that is too much information in it... Maybe is the screenshots.

I like the way you made the icons on the menu, but I think that the way you put something grey in it is a little "out of the way".

    Keep going!

I like it, though I think it's a little too cluttered. Just needs tidied up a bit.

    Try this....

Posted on Dec 03, 2009 at 4:21 PM

Upload this image again with the image and the text gone behind those 3 images. You can keep the 'See Project" button. You do that and it might take away from the crowdedness.... Other than that good job.

Oh yea take off the clouds at the top too. accept the one on the "My Design 7" image. And maybe the clouds behind you..... MAYBE.
