    Not doin' it for me

While I like the colors you have chosen here, I am not crazy about the imagery and formatting you have. I would try a few different concepts. I like the wave concepts just not as you have it here. Maybe make it more simple and less detailed.

Thanks for the inpue...on another image that I have just not with me I added a drop shadow to the words one pulse and added a tagline under the line near the pulse itself. I will see what I can do about making it simpler.

      Thanks for the input!

    Focal Point

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 1:37 PM

Right now, it keeps reminding me of ads for "OneTouch Blood Glucose Meter" that I keep getting in the mail. Your name and logo remind me of hospitals, health-care, pharmaceuticals, etc -- but not a design studio.

MESSAGE -- Your logo needs to communicate DESIGN STUDIO.

FOCAL POINT -- You can accomplish this by squishing ONE PULSE together. Make those words the same color. Take the emphasis off of them. And then make STUDIO Big and Prominent. You want people to see STUDIO, so don't make that the smallest part.

COLORS -- Every color is symbolic: Red represents danger, a command to stop; Yellow represents Caution, but can also represent Sunny and Cheery; Orange represents the excitement of fire, the construction industry; Blue/Green represent the sky and ground, they're very neutral, they can go with everything; Green represents life, growth, and moving forward (Green light).

Look at your message, and pick the colors that will represent your message.

Also, don't use too many colors. Your logo should look good in greyscale. Color just further Emphasizes certain parts. For example, you can make ONE PULSE darker, and STUDIO bright, so that Studio sticks out more.

And feel free to use black and white. They make a composition feel more solid. Color accentuates, but you want a solid foundation that can work on its own.

Make your logo in greyscale, and when the shape looks good, add color to emphasize a focal point.

I thought this was a music studio. Maybe you should still think about the concept.

    Not Balanced

Get it balanced. Just think of the 'studio' text while using it in the website or any collaterals...

    Color of the peaks

Posted on Nov 21, 2009 at 9:09 PM

I like the design a lot. I instantly get a feel of what the company does/is.

I like the green and blue the best. Although I would like to see the blue a little darker to contrast a little more, and the color of "Studio" I feel should be the same color as Pulse, two colors is enough for a logo.

Also, I might try changing the color of the peaks on the lefthand side. The outside should maybe be the darker color, when the logo is small, the thin light green lines get lost

Also, I saw on the website that is has a drop shadow behind that. I think that takes away from the design.

after looking at the website a second time, I see that this isn't a design studio... so, I take back my first comment of getting a feel for the company right away.

i would rething a few things

Posted on Nov 22, 2009 at 6:15 PM

The name just doesn't scream Design Studio. I also thought this was a Music Studio from looking at the design.

To be honest and as hard as this is to say i would change your name.

After much consideration I think your right...:( I came up with this after lots of brainstorming and what I wanted to say was that our web studio can give your design a single pulse.
