Do you get the real attractive elegance?

Posted on Nov 24, 2009 at 12:11 AM

I really like the first one. The one thing, I suggest you should change is the letter "e" can be symbolized in a better way to get the real attractive elegance.

On the whole, the concept and design is good!

    Elegant Variation

The text style of elegance looks fine. Though e looks like a lounge and selection of pink colour associates femininity it has missed a bit.

    Looks like breast cancer symbol

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 6:25 AM

I definately like the pink version better, its far more feminine, which i imagine is your target audience.

I just think it looks a little like the breast cancer symbol, but thats maybe just me, lol.

    Make object smaller

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 8:15 AM

Make the object smaller and center it above "elegance". You have a great start here so keep the momentum!

Lol a LOGO should always be scalable especially for clients requiring it to be on larger things such as posters or billboards. I think having a large logo Is better then having a smaller one that way It wont lose its complexity and pixelate when someone wants it bigger.

I don't think you understand what I am saying Alex. I am well aware that logos should be scalable and able to go to any size. However, I am talking solely about the size comparison between the squiggly line and the text. I think it would be best to make the squiggly line a bit smaller, while still keeping the text the same size...

    The e-swoop

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 11:11 AM

I would try and integrate the e-swoop symbol with the rest of the word "elegance". The symbol itself I think does, and evokes a womanly form but the trouble is it's a bit hard to see it as an "e", so it ends up looking random. It also ends up balancing the image too far to the left. Pink is best for sure. Bottom color combination feels a bit weak.

reminds me also of the cancer research logo band. the pink is probably the best of the three the green and yellow seem to look out of place, perhaps some grey and pink variations.

Go for the pink one. The other colours appear more.. serious? Pink is more feminine and the pink ribbon appears flamboyant and stylish.

color in the name and the font

Posted on Nov 20, 2009 at 9:03 PM

I do agree with other the "e" start looking like a ribbon for cancer logo. I like the pink but I am not sure if purple is the right color to go with it. I also like the fact that you are using all lower case lettering but you might want to play with different fonts.

I really like the first one. It looks fresh and it symbolizes the beauty care. Though I have questions for the product Fitness Center and the fact that pink symbolises women. You could try purple. I am curious about the final logo :-).

Is there a femine font type?

Posted on Nov 24, 2009 at 12:04 AM

As someone said here, you can play with the the thickness and feel that 2nd and the 3rd logo has nothing to do with the theme of spa and beaty saloon, the first one is ideal but again concerned with the use of font - now is there a faminine font that can be used foir such themes?

Re-balance the whole thing, too much upper left

Posted on Nov 25, 2009 at 6:42 AM

I would use a more curved font without hard edges or 90º angles.

This one has a lot going on as far as form, at least for me. I saw an "e" of course in the artwork above the text, as well as a pseudo chaise lounge, as well as a feminine figure sitting on the floor, knees bent, with head bowed and arms back to brace herself. Maybe i am seeing too much in it, but all that hit me at once. I like it a lot! I like the second coloration because it is not predictably feminine, yet is definitely soft
