Really nice concept. For some reason the hat doesn't work for me.
What I thought of is maybe having a plate shaped like a heart instead of the hat. Just a thought. good work!
I agree, It doens't totally make sense to have a fork and knife going into a chef hat, going into a heart would make more sense, not sure if it would be cheesy though? I like the lowercase font best, because it flows together and doesn't create akward spaces. I also think you could have the fork and knife be a little shorter, it's a little distracting. Overall good concept, just needs some tweaking.
Love the revision! It says what you are, a Food Lover. I think i agreed with one of the comments regarding finishing the heart. GREAT JOB!
not bad. looks a bit like a tree for some reason. good concept though
I love version 1 here, you have fixed the typography that was stopping you from reading the L now, without having to resort to the capital letters.
Im not sure aboutt he hat now though, you culd maybe just leave that out and go without?
Good work.
vewry vey nice!
If the purpose of the logo is for anyone to identify it's a restaurant, I think you're spot-on. It's simple, clean and uncluttered, and very effective!
I it is important here to note that the name is "food lover" so I think the name with the heart is apt. Further the one with hat is a bit more "cliched",you will find it with a lot of bakers. Just the Heart needs to be more clean, this would be more engaging with the customer. May be the heart could be more lower and centered with the text than with fork and spoon
ya thanks for the feedback hope u have voted me here as well... :)
I love the way you incorporated heart with the fork and spoon. I think it works really well. Nice logo.
The shape of the heart seems sloppy, otherwise i LOVE this. clean, clear message. Great font.
The typography is great, and the final concept too, but the hat is not totally right.
I love the first logo, it looks fantastic! Great work!
I love the first logo! I am a bit distracted by the heart stopping at the fork and spoon. It makes my eye follow down the handles of the silverware and then drop into nothingness....like an elevator shaft. Other than that...awesome!
if u see very carefully first i have joined one hand i.e left hand of fork with the right hand of spoon..try to create human intervention.. hope u can understand my concept..and hope that i deserve a vote from u :)
I see what you are going for. Why not have their other hands connect down low to create the entire heart?
Molto carina l'idea!....Anche se all'apparenza è un po debole XD
Nice concept... but the heart shape bothers me a bit because it's not symmetrical.
I think that this has the potential of being something very fresh and beautiful.. I would like to see it in physical existence on a table... imagine 3d letters... a heart shaped plate.. could have the remnants of a great meal on it like someone had just finished eating it. if you did this i bet it would win a competition and appear in some magazines and books! great concept. but keep going :)
I agree with Sean about maybe dropping the bottom of the hat. Another possibility would be a small white break in the line each place it intersects the utensils.
The readability on this is ten times better, good work. I can't help but thinking if you need the hat though. I wonder if it would be just as good without the hat and just the fork and knife...just a thought. Good stuff!
I love version 1 of this concept (with the lowercase text)! It'd be nice to see the hat shaped more like a heart-- perhaps at the top.
Looking forward to seeing more from you!
RMH
thanks love the idea...!! pl dont forget to give me ur valuable vote if u like my design
I like it - very clean and simple. I list the first best
Thanks Mark hope u have given ur precious vote for this logo :)
I like this one a lot more than the last one. The hat really looks like a chef's hat now instead of a pretty little cloud. :-) You may want to make the fork have 3 prongs instead of 4 so it could be more identifiable at small sizes.
Another random idea, but could you post a version with a spoon instead of a knife and message me if you do...I think it might make it even better.
I really like the spoon. Its much better than the knife. Is the circle around it supposed to be a plate? If so, I would make it perfectly circle and have another circle inside it to show the rim of the plate.
I think it looks better in lowercase and a little bit more close to the hat
It looks really good. You achieved a nice, clean and simple logo.
If I could change something I'd try with more fonts similar to the one you've chosen. This one is good and has the shapes the logo needs, but maybe a similar one could nail it.
lower case please!
Great job.
Hey Thanks Daniel :) hope u have received my feedback as well for your website
Maybe shorten the distance between hat and words.
I like the gradient, choice of font, and the silverware. The hat just seems a little too big.
I like the heart / plate, but not the hat. I would prefer the "l" of lover to be the knife rather than the spoon and perhaps close the gap sightly between the "d" and the "l". The heart could be a little more pronounced with a sligtly deeper valley or "cleavage". A very nice idea - good one!
Not sure if you have intended for it to have the gray background. But it does not need it. A good logo should work regardless of colour and background. Your logo works GREAT!
I love the second one! Have you tried to make the heart simmetrical? Or the fork and the spoon twisting each other?... My 2 cents...
i don't want it to be full geometrically correct... anyway thanks for ur feedback..
Try some different fonts. The D is lost and looks too much like the o's next to it. fooo lover?
How about combining the heart shape (which already looks a bit like a chefs hat) and the chefs hat, into one shape? A chefs hat thats shaped like a lovers heart.
Also the spoon is much more indicative than the knife.
Try bending the text upwards on the ends to create a bit of a "smile" who knows, it might work.
really useful to be able to distinguish logos from afar and without requiring too much effort to know what it is. nice work!
Simplicity makes it elegant and all elements are very well integrated. The hat is more related with food, but it also means in some way "cooking", how about trying with a dish? Anyway, I liked it :)
you've got a nice design here! i like the first one the most...simple and very original...i love the concept!
I prefer the heart one. Maybe change the spoon for the fork to make the 'l' more readable. Overall very iconic, i like it
i really like this idea. quite clever. enjoy the font choice also.
i'm not sure how i feel about running the type into the fork and spoon AND into the heart. i think i'd prefer and / or but not both. but this is entirely subjective obviously. :) regardless i like it lots.
1ste one with the heart... beautifully done and very usable for all media types
I think the heart communicates the name better but the hat is a better indication that this is a restaurant.
Having said that I much prefer the look of the first version. The version with the hat looks a bit dis-jointed.
I love the 1st version dude, looks like a silhouette too.... Gud work.
Their both great - like the hat one better. The hat does look like its too high and your utensils look out of proportion - would also cut the height of the utensil about half a letter height.
I think the hat in the second one is too high. Really like the first one!
looks great, good job!
Thanks Mackenzie i would have been more pleased if u have voted me along with your comments :)
Like the concept. Try replacing the spoon with a knife facing right so that you could bring the food & lover closer together. The heart is nice have you tried varying the thicknes of the outline so that it becomes more dynamic
Maybe try shortening the height of the d & l.
tried all that anyway thanks for ur comments hope that u have voted the logo!!
I like option one, hat doesn't work as good for me! Nice work! :)
The fork and spoon are enough for the food idea. The heart is nice but it might work better with a more defined dip.
i like number 2 the best,
Nice concepts, I would go with the Heart version and lower where the heart starts on each side, seems like the logo is a bit too tall.
I love the first concept. I would change nothing and would be happy, if I had a restaurant, to call this my brand. Great Work!
the heart really flows into this design better than the hat. i like the missing line at the bottom which really keeps it interesting and original. the bottom line of the hat just disrupts the flow too much for me (also the fact that the hat has those rigid angles at the bottom portion of the hat..) good job on keeping it simple.
I like the concepts in #1 the best
I agree with a few of the other reviews that the hat doesnt work. however with the fork and spoon in the heart - maybe a knife and fork would be better ?
Love It!!!!!! simple, clean, and easy to read. On the second concept. I would bring the hat? down a little or add a second small box right under to indicate a "fold of material". Like the bottom of the cook hat folds up? But VERY Good!
I really enjoy the concept (with a heart). Now it's perfect.
I love the simplicity of both logos, but agree the heart is the better of the two.
So the fork and the spoon are not soooo long. Try this, it may be nice.
sweet and simple. i like the idea of the heart and chefs hat changing, so that the logo can adapt.
nice spin.
I actually really liked the last one, and this one is just super too. I thought the chef hat was very relevant, and an obvious piece, but the heart is certainly more fitting with the concept and works just as well.
Kudos!
I would try to make it a little more clear. But other than that, it's a wonderful piece of work. Congratulations!!!
I really like it. great Job!
The concept with the heart is stronger than the hat, IMO.
I think as a standard logo this is very strong, but as you develop the brand idea and apply it to other things, it might be a cool play to add food items either on the spoon or pierced with the fork.
something very simple and clean looking, of course - but that bit of color and added humor to it could be a nice added touch.
love the "heart-hat". adding some color might help.
the client want it like clipart style..hope that u have voted me :)
ahh! lovely logo! but i prefer the 1st one. it shows like a couple's hand joining together enjoying the food! it has a very nice concept there!
Design is not really attractive and it is traditional
hi Karnika i dont think you have read my description "where the logo's owner want's the logo to be very simple..and mostly outlines" anyway thanks for ur feedback..
looks good. I like number 1. i think from here, you could play around with small tweaks here and there until you feel it's perfect.
It may be a matter of preference, but I'd like to see the hat centered over the type. It's almost there now, but just a little off. It'll take a little finesse to make "food" and "lover" the same width, but i think it can be done.
things I would try out, just to see how it looked, not necessarily saying they'll be better, would be:
A. removing the bottom line of the hat. B. scaling the hat up so that it engulfs the type (can be done in conjunction with A) C. different knife/fork stylings
Hi Swarat! The hat looks like a hat now, but I liked more the text you had on your previous version (wasn´t it with a lowercase l?)
but don't u think in uppercase the text is much readeble.... :)
if you have some better plan pl. tell me
Oh, I like the new one with the lowercase "l", I don´t think readability is a problem. Instead when using "L" the letter leaves an ugly space between the L and the o. I like it now.
You could try how it would look if you left the upper serifs on the d and the l. Maybe then the letters would be even clearer.
About the update: I think the hat is better than the heart, the heart-shape is a bit...weird.
I like the cook's hat version better. Maybe add color which will draw attention and add substance
would make it bigger
Thanks Jose
