Fat Astronaut Productions logo
This is an imaginary company, which is a production company as you can see.
The production company makes kid's shows, and yet the logo needs to stay professional.
I didnt put any colours to keep it professional, but yet the name, and the font + the positioning of the astronaut make it a little childish.
My main concern is the combination of professional and childish, together, and the overall look of the logo.
This has been made 100% using photoshop's pen tool.
Thanks!
for whoever can't see the logo:

I might try a cleaner font
Overall very nice. I might consider using a very clean, simple, light font like avenir light or something like that which would echo the clean lines of the astronaut vector art. I think you get a kidsy feel just from the artwork.
Is there a particular reason for it to be an imaginary company? Just building up your portfolio? If so, I would suggest doing work for real companies even if it is pro bono. It is much tougher and much more educational to do work with and for real clients.

I am doing for real companies, just doing some imaginary stuff so I dont get rusty, I am training myself. Thank you for your comment!
Although, why did you rank the purpose as 1? I think the idea was passed out very well.
About the suggestion on the font, I will be trying it, thank you.

The one on purpose was just because it did not really have a purpose. As a fictional job there is no demographic, no client to approve, no set of objectives. It wasn't a negative, just a reflection of it being a hypothetical job.

typeface
I am thinking the same as Kevin about the typeface, no need for it to be so childish. The astronaut drawing looks good and I think it will look even better when you add colors to it.

Awesome
I LOVE the astronaut! The font and stacking is where this logo starts falling apart. I would try some different fonts and stacking methods. Good start!

Font
I really like the logo, I love the little circles for the hands and feet. I don't care for the font used very much though . Maybe something a bit more "space oriented looking" or "sleeker". Very cool logo, I really like it!

change the typeface
I think the mark is great but probably you could change the typeface to a less childish one like an adult handwriting rather than a child's.

really nice but..
you got the idea of the astronaut, but i don't get the "click", what the meaning of that logo? not clear enough. The typo is too "playing", not have a characteristic and related with the logo

Simpler typeface
I like the cubby astronout :) It looks cute - if it's accompanied by simplre typeface or even - fat typeface, it might go hand in hand and becomes good friends :)

Stay Puffed!
Its the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man ... in space! :)
I actually like the font a lot. It adds character to your company and I think that's what you're going for. I might try "fattening" up the font a bit, see how that looks, but it might not contrast well with the astronaut.
