    hat

Should the hat be taller, looks a little like cloud now? Otherwise, I like it, very simple and good.

    Readability

Great direction here. I think your readability is suffering a bit here though. At first I thought this said "food over". Try and make it read as it is suppose to and I think you'll have a great logo here.

no conection food lover - hat fork ?

Posted on Nov 18, 2009 at 5:46 PM

I like the simplicity..but there is nothing about love in this logo...its a hat...there is no conection with food lover...its more like cook that eat while is cooking..

it can be your personnel opinion and point of view that "chef" and "fork" don't make sense with foodlover but i am sure it make sense or else not much appreciation i would have deserve for this logo..anyway i respect ur viewpoint as well

Plain and simple. I love it. Wouldn't change a thing. Really like how the color version plays out. VERY NICE.

PS - i DO NOT agree with those who have said the hat doesn't make sense with the fork, or that it's hard to read, etc. It probably would still work well if you dropped the hat and added a knife or whatever, but I don't think the hat detracts at all, because in my mind it very clearly says "CHEF" - which makes me think of fine food. And the fork is not at all competing with that IMO.

    good start.

i'm not sure about using two different ideas in one logo (the fork AND a chef's hat). Right now they're competing, and both are suffering.

I agree with Miro about tweaking the hat.

The fork is just lost, and like Nate said, makes it look like food over.

I'd suggest ditching the hat, and adding a knife. Use the d to make the fork, and the L to make the knife.

It might also help to add a simply tagline of "restaurant" beneath food lover.

    The hat and readability

Posted on Nov 18, 2009 at 9:48 AM

I was just about to ask, why a cloud? Then after reading the other comments its meant to be a chefs hat, so i would reccommend making that taller.

I would also look at making the first letter capitals, this way you can make the L alot more readable.

Other than those 2 changes, i really like it. Good Job!

I agree about the hat. It is too short. Looks like a cauliflower floret (which is food I guess : )

make the fork look more like a fork

Posted on Nov 18, 2009 at 5:22 PM

I not exactly sure how I'd do this, but right now the fork is sort of hard to see. Maybe combine the letters d and l into one and just have one line going up to the fork's prong.
