    couple of size tweaks

Posted on Nov 13, 2009 at 8:43 AM

This is really great. Completely out of the box thinking and design. And perfectly suited to the business.

Make the logo smaller. It feels kind of crammed in there. And bump web and phone down a little for breathing room.

I hate that the email text is smaller than the name, title and phone. Feels amateur in the middle of a very pro design. Reordering could give you the line length you need for email??

And I really want the text to have less gradient. Makes it feel a little cheap to me. It's really just the yellow and black shirt texts. The pink is the best.

Very nice work. Certainly makes me want to look at it!

    Does need air

Posted on Nov 14, 2009 at 11:46 AM

I concur with @Frarrah her comments were spot on.

I also think the CMYK which makes all the other colors in screen printing work very well.

It does need just minor tweaking on to give it some space for the design to breath.

Well done. The little tees work. I can see this on trucks and signage. Nice identity piece.

    Overall background color of card

Posted on Nov 14, 2009 at 9:47 PM

    Tyler,

I also think this looks great.

The only thing I would maybe consider, would be to make a white cotton textured background. Or on a clean bright white background just to compare, as to not lose the grey against grey type.

It does look like a expo or a show logo. Very strong and bold style. Love it

The visual weight of the logo.

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 2:29 AM

I think everything looks good except the weight of the logo. It seems to compete with the information on the left hand side. Aside from that it looks good. I would like to see it printed.

the background. i'll leave it white.

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 5:16 AM

everything looks fine but I'm not so sure abut the background. The radial gradient doesn't seem to transition well. Maybe use a lighter grey.

But, as Nate said, everything is very bold. I would add some more white space. Great work.

The logo with the four shirts are a little bit big

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 10:25 AM

Love this idea! It is like one of the best business cards I have ever seen! Awesome job! The only thing I noticed might be that the logo is a little overpowering. It kind of takes away from the card just a bit smaller and it will be perfect!

the email address are kind of hard to read.

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 at 11:50 AM

1st of all .. the overall design seems kind of interesting. the email add is too small and also should not use yellow for so many word.. here are few question for you.

    1) the usage of CMYK will it give their client a wrong impression that they are a offset printing company? normally CMYK represent printer CMYK and people will think that its a paper or book printer rather thanks t-shirt.

    2) what type of material that you are going to print on? any spacial finishing? if its printing on art card with matt finishing plus spot UV .. will looks kind of cool. or you can print it on synthetic paper.. that will give people something to feel.

    3) what is their major business ? i am sorry but i can't make out what is their major business is.. and why is 'No Setup Fees' is put there with their services. just feel kind of odd..

    4) is the company name Graf-X? the usage of 2 tone of grey is a good idea. but one problem, the Graf-X stand out ... and also in a way .. the word apparal on my laptop screen in certain angle its very close to blen in with the greyish background. do be careful of that. it should have more contrast .. and the contrast should be close to Graf-X so that it look as important and stand out as Graf-X .. not in a glance you just see Graf-X only.

Here are just a litter of my personal opinion.. hope it help. all the best .. !!

    colourful yet easy to read

using more than 2 colour seems to be too much, but you have used 4 cleverly and the design is very neat - I like this very much

    Colour

Posted on Nov 13, 2009 at 3:27 AM

Like the concept, I think it could use some other colours other than CMYK, being that screen printing lends itself to more colours.

    I like them

Posted on Nov 13, 2009 at 7:49 AM

Creative and different. The tie into the branding quite nicely. The only problem as I see is that it's hard to find a focal point since everything is very bold. However, I don't think it's bad enough to change the design. I think you have a great concept here, good work!

    Align color (Front/Back)

Posted on Nov 13, 2009 at 8:09 AM

Hello, Let me congratulate you. This is a really different approach on Business Cards. Great colors, great typeface, clean, direct and mind-catching. Why don't you align the color bars in the Front with the ones in the back, so when a person flips the card can have the illusion that the bars go form the front to the back? Great job!
