    font and colors

Posted on Nov 04, 2009 at 8:46 AM

The mark is nice. clean. could be flashcards/schoolish. though I'd try all primary colors I think, unles of course these are colors already associated with the brand.

The font, I'm afraid, will become outdated pretty quickly.

Looks good. I'd like to see the mark next to the name. Would look sleeker I think.

    @

Posted on Nov 04, 2009 at 9:14 AM

The @ as a symbol for web based activity is overused but I´m not sure if it matters; I like this. Still, I am interested, what do the three cards stand for?

It's really a colorful & cool looking logo!

If you stand back & glance, I saw an artist palette and read arts. I don't know if that matters.

The nameology simply worked out and well suits to logo. As the name implies the Greek Goddess of wisdom, it's related to education & knowledge.

On a closer look, I really like it!

The Logo is colourful, simple and attractive. While looking to the concept it looks quite relevant to e - learning. And the flashcard chosen conveys easiness & the fun a reader could feel while learning online.

    Font for "Athena"

Posted on Nov 05, 2009 at 1:28 PM

Hi Rajavel. I really like this. The colors are refreshing and very clean. The logo almost has a flower-like quality to it, like a bud or blossom opening.

I'm guessing the white symbol is an "a." And if so, I wonder if you used that "font" style in place of the hand-script font of "Athena"? Maybe even place the logo mark to the left of the logotype?

    Great, great work.

    Slight space attention...

Posted on Nov 09, 2009 at 12:55 AM

    Hi Rajavel,

I love the colors and the overall look of this logo. First, I read the symbol as an "at" @ symbol, if it is supposed to be an "a" I did not get that. I think if you made the top curve of this "a" higher it will look more like an "a".

Right away, due to the space between the "A" to the "t" and the "t" to the "h" I read this as At hena and the A thena. It wasn't until I verified the logo at the website. then I was for sure it was Athena.

So, maybe if you brought in the space between the "A" to the "t" and the "t" to the "h" then I wouldn't even doubt this name.

I think the "A" looks like an educational "A" as though the teacher had actually graded this logo.

    It's really nice.

Posted on Nov 04, 2009 at 8:45 AM

I like the colors, the squares and the font quite a bit. The only thing I am not totally sold on is the object in the middle. Is it an "A" or just a line? I would play around with some different drawings in the middle. I would also not use the drop shadow you are using. Great start here though, I like what you have.

    Nice Logo But Weak Typeface

Posted on Nov 11, 2009 at 2:15 PM

When I first saw the weekly feedback email, I actually thought your logo was for a fun place or a new shopping mall, but on discovering that it is meant for e-learning software I felt your logo could do with some modifications, the logo with the colored chips is rather nice with the stylized "A" in it but the lettering for the Athena could be a little more formal to balance the playful logo. So try different lettering styles.

Actually I only realized that it is an "e" after reading your comment, my first impression was that it was an 'a' as in Athena... Aside from that, I think the bright colours look good, and the rounded square make it very internet like as in the rss feed icons and such...

Generally, the logo is clean and softened. I like it.

I think "Athena" could be tightened so it's more versatile when using it in page layouts. If I drew a box around the entire logo. Just something to experiment with.

Also is the "swirl" supposed to represent "a" for "Athena"? If so, this isn't abundantly clear at first glance. Your lower case "a" in the word athena should match the swirl to make it more obvious.

Posted: on Nov 13, 2009 at 12:44 AM

Thanks. Yes you are correct. Actually I have presenter with lowe case 'a'. But not selected. Also the '@' shows 'e' in a different angle which represents e-learning

Hmm...the icon is nice but I have mixed feelings about the font. It doesn't scream 'reliability' and that's kinda the first thing I'd think of expecting from e-learning.

It's engaging though..I was very drawn to it.

Try putting it landscape too..try see how it looks with the words on the right of logo symbol.

I like the general look of the logo. Sharp, but also soft. I wonder if it would look cleaner if "athena" was a little narrower. (just a thought to try out) It may make it more functional when using it in page layouts that have a tight, clean look (like letterhead).

Not pretty much sure why you have to be too much concerned about @ symbol. but otherwise I feel it is a good do at the colour blend

    Good Concept Logo

Posted on Nov 12, 2009 at 1:40 AM

    hi Rajavel Ramasamy,

It's good creativity mind for logo and story creation match to logo.

Basically if you give logo, concept of logo and story of logo it more useful and all peoples are easily understaning this concept. Colours looks fine.
