with the font from the 1st one. i would allign the educate your... text with the utec text. so they both have the same width nice start...
Bigger graphic maybe, i mean the flower on the top although it lines out nice with the T and the C
I would take the first font.. although it looks a bit simple, perhaps take the font from the 2nd logo and make it more bold.
The book thing for education is highly overdone. I would try a different direction that isn't so overused. I'm not sure that I like the typography either. Just my thoughts, as usual, feel free to ignore :).
Nate: Can you offer another suggestion for an educational icon? And what do you not like about the typography?
I would focus more on the China subject than the educational subject. So find an object that more closely aligns with Chinese culture. I think the fonts you use could also have more of a Chinese flair.
When I say the typography, I am more talking about your rigid structure you have going on. I would make the bottom slogan smaller and center or left align it. i'd be interested in seeing the progress on this one, keep me updated!
I like concept, it may be that it is used before though... But these typefaces bug me, the first one is too stiff and the second one too heavy. I try to find you some others...wait a moment...
Oh sorry, I missed the third one. Maybe that typeface with the lotus flower? ...or... Fishmonger? http://tinyurl.com/ygld5j9 ...Lexia? http://tinyurl.com/ykuz69w and http://tinyurl.com/yjj3wjn
Miro. That's a nice suggestion. I'll certainly jot it down and include it for consideration. Thank you.
nice try with the open book but not enough readable. the chinese aspect could be represented when working with a specific graphic style. find more simple visual representation for education
Marc, thanks for posting a review.
I am a bit confused by your remarks though. The open book is symbolic of education (in fact, Nate posted a comment above stating that it's so ubiquitous that it might be overdone). Could you give me some more insight and clarification as to why you don't see education being represented in the logo mark?
Thanks!
for me the book is not clear enough, could be the leafs of the flower. why not exploring other way to represent the book or other visual that represent education, knowledge, ...
Marc, your insight certainly is more clear now. Thanks. I am open to exploring other ideas, and I am in the process of doing so. The lotus/open book logo was just the first idea I wanted to toss out.
Usage of the elements/icons have to be improved alot.
Always think the usage of the logo in various applications for example the 3rd logo in the business card. The first and the second logos can be considered. Better try for more options and present us with more colors
I think the wall tower element is a great choice, since it makes this logo unique. The first 2 versions look kind of generic. I would choose the first version's font though to go along with the wall tower sketch, since that third font is just a little to playful.
Hi Jorrie. I was in the process of re-loading new files. You might want to take another look.
