    color and image choice

Hi juri, those are my suggestions: I would put the logo in top of header and re-size the main menu in order to fit the page size

Is this different from the previous version

Posted on Nov 02, 2009 at 7:09 AM

Is this different from the last version you posted? My previous feedback still stands. Lose the background for something less bold and dark. change the header up and make the content area more appealing.

    background

Posted on Nov 02, 2009 at 1:08 PM

The background here is really not working. The gradient is cliche and unnecessary and the red is too overbearing for the content. The logo in the header should be moved to the top left as said by others.

    Remove the red background.

Posted on Nov 02, 2009 at 3:31 PM

I think your navigation on the left is very easy to follow, but I also agree that the red background may be too bold and distracting. I like your idea in using the prairie landscape with the windmill as the dot to your "i" but I think it may be to long, if you removed the 2 kids and made it narrower it will help make your logo stand out more.

Get a web designer that lives in 2009, not 1999

Posted on Nov 02, 2009 at 8:56 PM

This has to be some kind of joke. Did you produce this in the 90s and put it up only now?

Sorry but there is so much wrong about this design that I can't really be specific. It would take ages.

I think the biggest tip is for you to install Joomla or Wordpress and buy a proper shop template for it instead of trying to make this design work.

    header and bg color

Posted on Nov 02, 2009 at 10:53 PM

bright green and dark red do not compliment each other very well. try changing the header or changing the bg gradient. very easy to navigate which is good, but kind of boring. im not sure if i would trust the security of this site to do my shopping. my 2 cents :)

    Header needs lots of work.

Posted on Nov 03, 2009 at 2:02 PM

I get it. But here's the issues that need to be addressed in the header:

    1. To many elements that don't support each other... grass/sky/rainbow, hearts, flower, clouds. Pick just a couple and run with it.

    2. Use Kuler.com! Pick your red color, and find complimenting colors that work. RIght now, light blue+green+blood red doesn't work.

    3. My suggestion, is to kill the hearts, and kill the red background. Maybe just use white/off-white with a texture with hearts in it. The kids kissing is enough for emotion; the hearts are just way to on-the-nose.

    Cheers.
