    hmmm

its quite simple, and works. It's not blowing me away, but I can't really see anything technically wrong with it.

The only thing is, with such a simple logo, I'd just research logos in general to make sure you're not accidentally ripping someone off.

    the oval

Posted on Nov 01, 2009 at 5:13 PM

How about making the ovals different sizes? So that the topmost oval would be the smallest, the middle one a little bigger and the lowest like it is now. Then they would (maybe) look like they are moving towards the reader, like trains move. (Just an idea...)

    Good start

Posted on Nov 02, 2009 at 7:06 AM

I like the simplicity of this logo. I would try and bring the IRTS down so that it blends in with the background and size it up a little. I don't think your quite finished here but it is a good start. I would also think about adding some sort of tagline since the logo doesn't make the company purpose very clear.

    nice colors and shape

Posted on Nov 02, 2009 at 9:00 PM

It's not a piece of work that will stand out, but it's very solid graphic design that will serve its purpose well.

Green as a color is also a great choice for transport companies right now.

Was there no slogan to go along with the logo?

    Add a tagline

Posted on Nov 03, 2009 at 1:10 AM

I agree with those who said a tagline is needed here. The name of the company is just to vague to understand what they do. And believe me, I sympathize with you. I'm working on a logo now that is an acronym -- it's not easy.

Otherwise, Nate had a good idea too about moving the name down maybe flush with the bottom and left or pretty close to flush.

Keep us posted on any revisions.

    Show what IRTS is...

Posted on Nov 03, 2009 at 7:45 AM

    Looks great.

Would be great if it could somehow say what IRTS is, either with some kind of image or text.

Green is great, but I would try out adding in some more colour, either a spectrum starting with the green, or maybe have the ovals go from green to greeny yellow to yellow?

I thought of a art company first!

Posted on Nov 03, 2009 at 2:08 PM

If you stand back and glance, I saw an artist palette and read ARTS. I don't know if that matters.

On a closer look, I really like it. It doesn't say 'train' but it does say environment. If it's on a train, it's a strong logo!

Plus it passes the grey scale test too.

    Cheers

    What did the logo convey

While using an abbreviation, more care should be taken to make the visitor to understand. Also i have seen this logo somewhere...

create a shape of train from irts

Posted on Nov 29, 2009 at 1:54 AM

the logo is simple and it works very well - just to make it a bi tmore obvious as train transport company, how about forming th wshape of the train from the word IRTS?
