    2nd the best i think

I like the second one best The middle element is a wheel? Maybe make it more distinct with some wheel texture?

Thanks Jorrie. Yes, there is a wheel in the middle.

    Nice Concept

Posted on Oct 26, 2009 at 7:42 AM

Getting this logo to look good for all kinds of enthusiasts was a difficult task that I think you hit here. The only thing I might change is flipping the keyhole so that it is vertical instead of on a slant like that. At first I thought it was a Chevy logo in the middle. Nice work!

Thanks Nate, the "keyhole" is the center nut you can find on old cars. Usually slanted. But I know what you mean. Will have a second look at it.

Make the tire slightly smaller, and place in center?

Posted on Oct 26, 2009 at 8:57 AM

I really like this logo a lot. Nice work!

It does seem there is room for some adjustments to centering and possibly adding a bit more space between the wheel and the text. The text could use a bit more space as well -- feels tight, and squeezed in...

Maybe make the pin on the center nut less "heavy" so it looks less like a Chevy as Nate mentioned. ;-)

    The O in "OF"

Posted on Oct 26, 2009 at 9:23 AM

    Hi Jakub,

    I like this logo.

Due to the wings, it reminds me of an updated version of the 1940's Delta airlines logo, as well as, the MiNI cooper and a classic car logo.

Yet, your twist of having an older wheel in the middle and your special effects brings in a current and classic look at the same time.

The only suggestion I have is to maybe find a typeface with a rounded O that is similar to the O shape made by the wheel. The O in the word "of " looks almost flat.

Thanks Amy. You are right the O needs to be changed. When I got into it I found that there is so many "wings and wheels" and "wings and something else" logos around I thought my logo should look like that too :)

I like the reversed-out version ... nice logo ... does the job but it is very like the mini cooper logo (also similar concept to the ministry of sound??) Agree with a previous comment about the O of OF ... does look flat ... perhaps better if 'of' was lowercase

Hi Elly, thanks for your comments. Yes I was inspired by the Ministry of Sound logo. It's maybe too obvious but then I thought everything has been done before already so what.

    The color...

Posted on Oct 26, 2009 at 12:31 PM

You built a beautiful logo! I liked the wheel / gear in the center and the wings gave me the sensation of golden age / muscle cars!

About the color... grey is not good for WEB applications, mainly because there are huge variations depending the screen (in some LCDs it can't even be seen).

I recommend you to do some new color schemes. Good luck!

The logo is great! I just think that maybe because of the colour, the shadow is making it a bit confusing.

    make the colors darker

Posted on Oct 26, 2009 at 1:39 PM

I assume this logo is going to be on a dark bg, otherwise it will be hard to read. Grea job with the design though. Gives a very "classy" feeling.

    typeface

Posted on Oct 26, 2009 at 4:42 PM

Looks good, but I would continue experimenting with the typeface. This one doesn´t say much. Maybe it should be thicker too, for example like Univers 85 extra black?

    the wing look

Posted on Oct 26, 2009 at 9:01 PM

Not sure why, but first two things that came to mind when I saw this was Disney and Southwest Airlines. Like the wheel look, but the wing aspect makes this look odd. Nothing really screams car to me.

I'd suggest differentiating your brand more. Looks too similar to Mini Cooper.

    typeface

Posted on Oct 27, 2009 at 10:50 AM

I think some work is need on the typeface, perhaps something more character like a helvetica neue, or similar and perhaps bolder as well. This does remind me of mini and aston martin logos, but I do think its a good effort!
