Its amazing what that white box in the content area has done for your design.
I liked the original, but this one works far better.
My only change would be to the navbar, not sure what i would do, but it needs to stand out a little more.

I would like to see some orange or similar color in the upper. Maybe, "Register today, it's FREE!" button should make a great contrast if it is in orange or green color.

Making the content area white was a HUGE improvement. I like the slant on the picture, maybe you could overlap the picture and the content area a bit. Navigation looks great and I love the gradients in the background...very well done!
Agree that the content area is MUCH better looking but want to make sure it is attracting the right action from your viewers.
