    proportions

Posted on Oct 19, 2009 at 4:04 AM

    Hey,

looks good what I would change are the proportions of the objects, for example the laptop is smaller then the pencil, magazines also.

There is a way around this if you want the top things to be bigger and bottom smaller you have to create the illusion of perspective with the background.

    The rest looks very good.

    Good job.

    Way too cluttered

Posted on Oct 19, 2009 at 8:26 AM

The clutter is definitely taking front stage to your actual content. My eye doesn't really know where to rest or look. I think you need to work on creating a focal point and take down the amount of clutter.

i like the wood background and the cleanness of your design here but you just need to make sure people know where to look.

I didn't see the original, but I do like the depth and richness of the colors. I like the paperclipped notes at the bottom.

    looks very good

This is way better than the last one. One thing that still catches my eye is the different perspectives of the items, but it may be impossible to fix better without shooting every item yourself.

thanks Miro for your feedback..ya its really difficult to get every obect in the same perspective besides my intention as well as clients intention matches (keep diff perspective for some items :)

    Paper tweaks and tacks...

Posted on Oct 18, 2009 at 10:22 AM

    Hi Swarat,

This looks so much better from your last version. I love the backgrounds color of wood.

I would maybe consider a different placement for the pile of tacks, For they still look a bit to big in comparison to the other items. ( maybe on the paper rather than off?)

PAPER: How about making the brown edged torn look transparent so I see the background rather than a misc. brown?

The top right part of the paper does not align straight down the edge of the paper.

On the bottom left the paper, it looks smeared unnaturally. I don't see how that would happen in real life.

Overall this is looking a lot better and the concept is fun.

      Hi Swarat.

Yep, I am referring to the pile of board pins at the bottom left corner. I like how the pin is used on the paper, that looks neat.

    It's a great design

Posted on Oct 18, 2009 at 6:35 PM

    Really it is...

But too be honest I think it's a bit flat... I don't really understand the reason why there are little images and then a massive pencil...

I would look at making it deeper as in a little more 3d, like http://abduzeedo.com/web-site-design-tutorial-wellknownas-case

Anyway, it's a great design... but I reckon it could be even better
