    Spacing

Posted on Oct 14, 2009 at 8:08 AM

Your spacing is off. There is too much space under the headings Offshore Engineering, User Experience, Outsources, Articles, Our Showcase, Feature Stories (which should be FeatureD with a D).

My mind tells me that those headings go with the paragraph underneath them, but visually, they are detached to the point where they might as well no be together.

I actually prefer your older version overall.

Concerning my comment on spacing, the element are much more distinctive in your older version.

    bg color

Posted on Oct 14, 2009 at 8:13 AM

Seriously you have to change the bg color, its so dull...

Makes the site very boring to look at, other than that, the design is very generic, nothing spectacular as of now.

    Still have alignment issues

Posted on Oct 14, 2009 at 8:45 AM

This isn't a bad direction by any means, but you have some work to do still. Your alignment seems to be more off than the last design to me. I also liked the last design better. I thought you were really close to a finished design with the last iteration. Just some of my thoughts...

    Make it pop

Posted on Oct 14, 2009 at 8:46 AM

Everything that your doing looks clean and professional, but it doesn't come across as a 'leader in delivering next generation Internet applications'.

There is so much grey on grey that everything just blends together. The maroon color is a nice contrast, but you may need another contrast color.

The tagline should be shorter, more-directed, and bolder. Consider using the main splash area for this.

Also, some lighting and patterns on the background could go a long way. You could keep that scheme by adding some depth to it.

    rearrange space

Posted on Oct 14, 2009 at 9:38 AM

Some things are too close together, like numbers and quotations faded into the background, and I would add more margin to the main illustration. Maybe make the background more similar to the dark pink in the middle of this illustration? Or leave it white, this would look more clean.

    Fix the grid

The design is ok. It does not reflect next generation Internet applications. It reflects a law firm.

Look at this site for ideas of "next generation internet applications":

    spacing

Posted on Oct 14, 2009 at 11:39 AM

the spacing on this site is messed up.

There needs to be more space between the slideshow and the right column. It looks strange that the "Our Showcase" is not lined up with the rest of the content. Generally I would add about 10px of padding to all the sections of the page.
