    Last one is best

I think the last concept is strongest for a logo. It is the most attractive to me b/c it isn't too busy, and has a contemporary feel. Like John said, it can be used with or without the text and still be recognized.

I enjoy the detail of the pattern in the 2nd one, but it won't reproduce well at small sizes, and the paintbucket is a little too much like clip-art. Perhaps you can incorporate the pattern you have within the India shape into other parts of the graphic identity as a subtle texture.

    The last one

This is by far your best design so far, maybe just work on the colours a little, I know that you want a point of difference, however just tone down the hue on the pink, green and orange.

    Great work!

    A consistent background texture?

Overall I like it but there's one page that is totally different because of the background texture.

    Choose the third option

The outline of the country is a bit redundant... The third one is spot on!

    Colors

Posted on Oct 14, 2009 at 8:26 AM

Well i have completely different opinion.... maybe SINCE I AM AN INDIAN!

I actually liked the first logo, reasons:

    1) The sun is generally associated with India and in Indian culture. 2) The one with black background and white text looks very nice, makes the logo look rich. 3) I would suggest trying the one with black background, but change the red sun color to bright orange, and give a very slight, subtle shadow to the black bg rectangle.

DEFINITELY NOT THE LAST ONE, VERY CRASS. looks like someone across the street made it.

    bucket

Have you tried replacing the bucket with a painter's brush?

I thought about it, but a brush would have to be much larger than the bucket.

I've decided to use the font of the third logo with the symbol from the second without the bucket.

I will post the final design and a first draft design of the site soon.

      Thanks for your feedback!

    Kick the bucket

Posted on Oct 13, 2009 at 10:17 AM

I like the last one best. Could be used with or without the text and still represents what you're trying to get across.

Not a big fan of the paint bucket pouring the paint in. I get what you're doing, but I think it works better w/o the bucket.

      Thank you for the feedback.

I'm getting a lot of mixed reviews of the second design. Some really like, some think it's overdone/busy.

My personal favorite is the second, though I like how distinct the first one is.

What happened to the abreviated concept?

Posted on Oct 13, 2009 at 10:44 AM

My favorite was the abbreviated concept you had. Out of these my next fave would be the top one. I still think you ought to play around more with the previous concept.

      Hey Nate,

I really liked the abbreviated concept, but I agree with the people that think it is reminiscent of an airline logo.

I will be posting a final design soon. Thank you for the feedback! :)

    Second logo overly complex

Posted on Oct 13, 2009 at 11:53 AM

I like the concept of the second logo, but it is very complex, and would not be readable at small sizes. The other logos you have are more flexible.

I also love the last logo, it's very versatile, and is colorful and stylish while being clean.
