    really like it

I really like it, very clean and nice. The only thing that i don't like is the logo, but i guess there's nothing you can do about it.

Thank you! You are right, the logo is what it is.

    So many links...

Does the printing business really need 10 interior pages? Do a sitemap and figure out if you're going to need that many menu items.

A centered logo really draws an awful lot of attention to it, and I'm not sure the logo warrants it. It's kind of weak, and doesn't seem to jive with the rest of the design (too many colors, not very modern).

If you're limited by the quality of photographs, then definitely don't feature them so prominently.

Last thing; the design is sleek and modern, but the service isn't. It's for printing flags - the design should reflect that.

      a) No, I don't think there will so many pages, I didn't think of the site structure.

      b) True

      c) I think the client wants photo(s) on the front page, so...

      d) I made it so modern because I thought that first impression is what matters most - if one sees a modern layout then maybe he thinks that this must be a modern printing house. But I have to think about that.

      Thanks for commenting.

    It's workin for me...

I like this, you have a really good start. The organization of content is well thought and looks tidy and neat. i like the tapered header and the navigation works as well.

I think you are leaning slightly towards the bland side of things however. I might try and color it up a bit. The paragraph and small picture look slightly awkward. I know you say that the pics are low res but I think you need a large picture in this design even if it is a stock image.

Also, if I were you I would try and ask him if you can redo the logo. The logo definitely doesn't match the caliper of the site. Like I said you have a great start to this, its time to liven things up a bit though.

Thank you for the comments, I'll continue working on this and bring more color into it. The picture and the size of it look a bit out of place to me too, I have to fix that. Maybe I was thinking too much of the quality problem when I did that.

That logo-project would be nice, I think the logo is from the era when that kind of rainbow gradient was very hard to print.

I really like your design here

Clean , the gradiant bleu is very nice. I would not change a lot I think this is overal good. Perhaps you can add some icons if you really want to make it web 2.0 but i guess those would distract also.

I would let the footer outstand a bit more, perhaps add the logo on the top in grey colors in small in the botom.

    rainbow logo?

Posted on Oct 12, 2009 at 6:02 AM

the rainbow logo is really jarring in this design, either it needs changing or the design does

live the design overall tho the square image in the banner looks plonked on.

add more white space to centre white panels and generally space things out more.

That logo really gives me a headache, I tried to bring those rainbow colors to the design but it looked horrible. I need to redesign the image area, that's true.

      Thank you for commenting!

    Make the logo bigger

Posted on Oct 10, 2009 at 6:48 PM

It should stand out more than the other parts of the page.

I didn't want to make it too big because it is so colorful and eye catching. But maybe I should do so, thanks.
