The overall look is good, but your composition could be better. You have a distinct frame around your picture. You need to create an illusion of a frame. You might want to split the frame and have the bottom look like an fog on the water fading as it gets closer to the subjects. Then you might want to try the sam fro the top, keeping the same values, but making it look like storm clouds rolling in. The watercolor look is really nice. Keep it up!

I think you've reached the pinnacle of this design. There isn't much else I can think of to fix. I like the top concept the best. Don't mess with it too much, you may loose what you have so far.

There is an intriguing sense of mystery. Nice Job! However, it would have been better if the subjects in the photo were a bit more visible.
