| Serious Problem on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | Isn't there some other typography that enhances your message? This serif is not working for me. The Sans serif brings more. |
| Critical Problem | |
What is your story? What is it you want to tell? What is your USP? What is it that blows all of the others out of the water?
| Positive Feature | |
BlackMaybe the black background could be lightened up a little? It is very heavy.
GenericIt is a generic design. Interchangable with many other websites. It might be a proven design. However put more of the product in it. What is it that makes Castify Castify? Enhance and enlarge that.
| Other on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | The typography used here as well as the color and shadow does not work for me. Why not the same green as elsewhere or the pink? |
| Minor Problem | |
BlongsYou say 'blongs' twice. To me it doesn't come across what a 'blong' is. If I can't understand this then I'm sure a lot of other people won't be able to understand what it is. Is this supposed to be a mashup of bombs and blogs? You also use the same title for 2 blocks. The 'Blongs, not bombs. Maybe it could be 'Sweet, not sour'
Call to action buttonsThe CTA buttons may work better in orange or yellow. You should A/B test this.
| Positive Feature | |
SpacingThe site uses spacing brilliantly. The button is far away from the text and uses a good call to action.
| Critical Problem | |
Catch PhraseI did not get what the site was about immediately. I would suggest adding some direct language in larger font to alert the user exactly what it is you offer within the first 5 seconds of visiting the site.
Like the idea and the design in nice. The main message needs a little tweeking.
looks really great
Doesn't look to bad, I agree with the others, using a smooth font like Open Sans, should clean it up

| 1 | What is lesswrong, and why would this make me want to sign up for the service? |
| 2 | Footer needs more interest. |
| 3 | CTA needs to be bigger and more prominent. |
| Serious Problem on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | The sign in link is lost up here at the top right corner of the page. Perhaps it should be a button like the "Discover our Content" link so it can be more visible. |
| 2 | Think about making this "We are the love child..." instead of "It's the love child..." You call the service "we" in the paragraph below this, so make it consistent in voice. |
| 3 | You say blogs in the same sentence twice here -- make the copy tighter and more concise. And maybe instead of saying "We're getting the best blogs", say "We have the best blogs". |
| 4 | The copy here needs an overhaul -- too wooden and a bit too informal. If that's your company's tone, then that's fine -- but make sure you don't alienate by being too informal. |
| Critical Problem on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | The headphone graphic here isn't doing you any favors -- the silhouette fades into the background and it becomes a dull addition to the page. Think about including the logos of some of these "best blogs" which are part of your service -- that can be your unique selling point for making people sign up for the service. |
| New Idea on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | I'm not a huge black and pink fan in a combination like this -- it reminds me of an adult website (if you catch my drift). I think the professionalism and fun of your service could be enhanced with a lighter, brighter theme. In other words, keep the pink, but lose the heavy textured black background. Subtle Patterns has some great minimalist tiled backgrounds you might want to consider. |
Overall, the site is a drab and lifeless. With a change of colors and typography, you can help liven up the content and entice the reader to learn more about your service. See my notes for more details.

| Serious Problem on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | This is confusing. I had to read below twice to understand the service. The focus of that title needs to be something like - 'Audio Blogs - Listen to your favorite blogs from anywhere' or some such |
| 2 | These titles are quite confusing |
| New Idea | |
Free TrialIf you are open to a suggestion.. the free trial is king in your space. Pretty much all audio services online allow you to sample the value of the service before buying. I think you will find that getting a much larger number of lead captures/trials will be much more lucrative than fewer $2/mo subscriptions.
Overall, it sounds like a great service. Depending on the UI and amount of available blogs, I would certainly consider signing up. Also, good color schemes and calls to action (assuming that those are the green buttons). Your copy needs work, especially the title. I addressed them specifically.
| Minor Problem on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | Type is hard to read. Maybe you could give the pink lines more structure. I would suggest to paint it manuallyin Illustrator for more "meaningful" Message. |
| Positive Feature on Home Page Concept | |
| 1 | Great Eyecatcher. Create Story. The "whats-in-it-for-me" Info is not as crisp as it can be. |
