I need to redesign this alert (again) because I've received word that it doesn't quite fit our branding (which I can see). So my goal in redesigning this is to make it "fit" more. Make it not stand out as if it was a psd that I grabbed off of a free psd site and stuck on our site.
Right now I feel it doesn't fit on this page because it doesn't fit the style of the rest of the site (which is a bit grungy, worn, and 3rd worldish).
Not crazy about the diagonal here because it makes this alert seem like a warning or site error rather than just an alert to bring to the user's attention. Try removing it and see how it blends with the rest of the site.
The overall design of the website is good; think about putting together a style guide for the site in order to have a baseline for colors, typography, etc. for future updates. See my notes for more details.
Good site overall. Navigation was easy and the general message was clear. One issue was the size of the text explaining the children's needs. That just needs to be larger or darker in color to make it easier to read.
