Thank you for taking the time to review my latest html5 project a work in progress.
My key focus is to ensure it's user friendly, interactive, attractive and help attract new clients by the subscribe tab.
Aims / Objectives:
Interactive, easy navigation, eye catching, bookings, location and subscribe tabs .
Not only looks great but is engineered to make salon money via bookings or subscription!
A structure that is designed for Search Engines "SEO"
Work on the lighting and shadow here, because it's all wrong. The models are super bright (which doesn't match the light source and shadow you created here). If the light source is coming from above and shining down, there should be some shadow on the models. Instead, they're in full light. I would even suggest keeping the models in the backgrounds they were originally in and perhaps adding the photo in some sort of a bordered frame.
Overall, the design suffers from a lot of usability issues and some design issues with respect to the models' placement in the gallery. Check the annotations and you'll see what I mean. I think you should pay more attention to making the website user-friendly before adding too much "design" to it.
It doesn't actually say on the homepage what the company does. This needs to be put on there ASAP.
Make a booking tab
The 'make a booking' tab gets lost on the page. It doesn't stand out and surely this is the biggest aim of the site? Maybe you could swap round the 'Make a booking' and 'location' so they are in the opposite tabs. I.e. the 'Make a booking' should be put on in the right hand side pink/purple tab. This tab should also be brightened slightly so it stands out a bit more.
Better social media links?
The social media buttons are pretty poor. I'm sure you could easily create some that match the style of the site.
To make the booking form more presentable and more CRO focused, have you considered using an accordion form?
