I never learned CSS while in college since it was just barely becoming the web standard at the time. I finally forced myself to sit and learn CSS while doing a complete overhaul of my portfolio page.
The design is outdated
The portfolio's design is very outdated, overly textured, space is poorly distributed, and in general way too busy. Try to simplify your brand, make it more professional, GET RID of iframes, get some about info.
Bro, it's time to modernize your design palette. Perhaps our tastes just don't align, but your portfolio does not come off as professional high-quality (to me). Your aesthetic is distinctly 90's, nirvana-esque and maximalist. Which is cool, but I think you'll find that today, people are looking for something different. A few examples:
great design but maybe the home page in terms of layout not design is a bit same old same old?
Maybe something slightly different than the old box, maybe something sticking out of it?
The site was a bit slow for me? Maybe run it through a speed tester to compare with other sites.
I think the rollover needs to be more promentant - not a big deal.
But I do think that the pop up image or the icons need more about the sites. As in the name and general info - maybe put that in the pop up and make them bigger?
