This is a redesign of www.GetPaidSurveys.com. Our goal is to educate users about what paid surveys are, encourage them to read reviews of survey companies, then entice users to sign up for one of our top 5 rated survey companies.
The site is active with user reviews and ranks #2 in Google for "paid surveys" and #1 for "online surveys for money".
My concern is that the site is too busy and that we need to simplify. However, we need some guidance as to what direction to go next. Thank you!
Suggest to only include the info/feature that really needed and remove the info /feature that not a MUST in this page.
Eg: Learn More about Paid Surveys can just have a link to navigate to the page to let the user click on it and not neccessary display out all the FAQ.
Too much info at a glance. Your critical CTA button, i.e. Sign Up Now should be more prominent. If anything, the current website design is better than this new one. Should reduce the number of distractions on this page. Users should either immediately sign up or learn more.
entice users with large photos......showcase what the rewards to the user....photos with people paying bills, shopping, going on vaction.....and use a tag line "What do you need the money for?" or "What will you do with the extra cash?"
breaking down info.
spoon feed people info.....there is no need to put everything on the main page.....like the Q&A
leader board is good
score board is part of gaming mechanics.
bottom footer links
looks great.....clean and simple
move sign up box
the email collection box has to be moved up and more visiable.....consider at the very top and move the slogan down to being above the new photo area
It is not a good idea try to squeeze everything inside the main page.. GREEDY is BAD.
That's the main area that you should looking to. Try to put only MUST HAVE item, throw away (put in other places) those SHALL HAVE, MAY HAVE, SHOULD HAVE, WISH TO HAVE items from the main page. your main page shall trying to grab user attention, not trying to confuse the user.
I went to the old site and wrote this before even looking at the new design: Don't get me wrong, I love websites to have adequate information, but there's to much on the homepage. I would add a faq tab, for the question section. I would have only one review and then a link to more reviews, with maybe their picture and a sentence, rather than a paragraph. You could have the paragraph in the additional link. The recent reviews information is decent, but the stars are separated to the next line.
Wow the new site seems to take care off all the things I mentioned about the old site! Impressive. Much simpler design, less text and better layout. It seems like you have the same information as the old site, but now you only display a short blurb/description and then you can click on those links to access all the info. I like it much better.
User Top 5
I don't quite understnad what the User top 5 is. I understand I go to one of those links to take surveys. Is your site basically a hub that links all the other "paid survey" sites? Maybe change the text to "Top 5 User Rated Paid Survey Sites"
The new site is much better. I don't think it's too cluttered, but it's not the simplest layout. I would maybe add some more prevalent boxes, separations between the different sections on the home page though to help differentiate. I think you strike a nice balance in presenting enough information that I understand whats going on and can access the link to that information. Nice color accents, without being over the top.
