| 1 | don't care for this starburst though. seems to detract from the overall theme. |

| 1 | a lot of choices seem like a great idea, but if you want to convert to purchase, reduce the number of choices. Watch the TedTalks - there's an entire podcast on it. Just a thought. |
i guess putting a pound sign in front of something will bold it. hugeify it, sorry about that :)

| 1 | They look unproffesional, and you don't need em here anyways. |
| 2 | These don't make sense to me at all? What are these? Language preference? If so, i guess it would be better if they were placed in the footer |
| 3 | You might wanna do something about this orphan |
| 4 | This just stops my flow, how about making it a much lighter gray? |
| Critical Problem | |
Overall type treatmentI couldn't pick up how many fonts you have used, but nevertheless they all look the same, try introducing different weights, and maybe something with serifs? It makes more sense since any old-style serifed typeface will convey this academic feeling, which would work great for an educational theme.

| 1 | You need more negative space here, and all around the layout. Especially this part, it should be instantly scannable and graspable. You need less text, you might also consider removing the exclamation mark from here. |
| 2 | Your nav just seems so dull at the moment i literally didn't want to browse the site, spice it up a bit. |
| Positive Feature | |
Strong LayoutI think you have a solid layout, it's pretty easy on the eye while gliding down the page.
| Positive Feature on frontpage_conceptfeedback.png | |
| 1 | I think you need this much space, pretty much everywhere on the page. |
| 2 | I really liked this, even better with the sub-text on the actual website. |
| New Idea on frontpage_conceptfeedback.png | |
| 1 | I think it's just too long for a header. How about "Are you an Expert? Contribute to our community and get rewards!" |
| 2 | Your buttons just seem so dull, how about using a very bold/heavy font for the first line? And maybe a 1px border? |
| 3 | How about a very subtle texture here? It might turn out to be great. |
| 4 | How about moving this into the top bar right next to the language settings? |

| 1 | Personally, I feel like this is the most important element on the page. Is it really? If not, try making it smaller. |
Overall, I think you're suffering from not enough negative space and too much content. It just looks crowded. But the layout was pretty easy on the eye so the project would instantly look better as soon as you start giving more negative space.
hi ege, you have given me a lot to think about. i will work on many of your suggestions to get things a little less crowded and easier to follow.
sometimes you get to attached to a design and don't see the little things like you have pointed out. thanks for your feedback!

| 1 | I found this amount of blue distracting after the main headline. It was hard for me to focus on text after top menu and headline. My suggestion: Move the orange divider up underneath the main headline and make the background behind slide show same light grey and main body background. |
| 2 | I think the flesh-toned background on these thumbs in unnecessary. Extra clutter on a page that is already sporting many colors. |
| Positive Feature on frontpage_conceptfeedback.png | |
| 1 | This body area is arranged nicely. Very easy to locate and parse relevant information. |

| 1 | I would suggest combining this text into the button. The "30 day free trial" is what I look for on all these online tools. The text is a little lost here. |
Most importantly: I found the site very easy to navigate, the information I was looking for was easy to find, pricing plans were very clear, and your calls to action easy to spot and understand. My biggest critiques have to do with use of color and thumbs on the homepage, which add a bit too much clutter.

Great DesignI really like the design..
I think be more direct to the point, select your primary market, and have a simple headline direct to them. I had to read half to page to even start to understand it.
hey joshua, i agree with your comments regarding better targeting the main market up front. i made some change to the live site and will continue to tweak things to that end.
thanks for the advice!
hi steve, appreciate the insights!
1 there is a free plan available with limited features. i didn't see the point in having a trial plan for the free so that's what that means. i didn't think it would be confusing but i will rethink that now.
2 i hadn't heard that tedtalk but i will check it out. i think i'm going to take your advice and reduce the plans by one, combining mini and basic.
