Overall this is a fun and nicely designed template. There are some clearly successful areas -- and some issues of concern that should be addressed.
What works:
- Background color - dramatic and balanced
- Persistent Navigation bar
- Fat footer
Opportunities to Enhance:
- Deep scrolling landing pages are problematic (see the argument for and against)
- See the results of an A/B usability test I preformed (which landing page example works the best). Based on this findings report (which expires on 1/24/12). Notice that there is a clear winner from a visitor perspective. If statistics are applied -- the result illustrates that 95% of participants would select sample A (with a margin of error of 9.5%). Think about the same statistics that are used for a Presidential Election.
- Where do you want the visitor to look first? I encourage you to begin paring back the amount of content. People typically lose concentration when they get distracted by too many strong visual images. The best designs help the visitor "focus" - and leads them through the design.
- Based on a simple task ("Click on where you would go to learn more about the 2nd ranked "Top Game" on the site.") -- this usability findings report illustrates that a long scrolling page compromises task completion (only 25% of the visitors could complete this task) Notice the task time (in the raw data tab) - which indicates how people struggled to complete a simple task. I predict that the task time would increase if the task became for example "Find the Angry Bird Game". Eliminating the amount of content will mitigate this issue.

Summary:
Eliminating visual clutter (simplifying) will actually increase excitement and drama
- Ensure that people see the call to action buttons -- there is so much competing for a visitors attention, you risk overwhelming them. Your goal of having visitors "spend time" is in jeopardy with this approach. If this were a brick and mortar storefront -- would you shop? Or would you be overwhelmed? Read the test participants feedback with that frame of mind.
- Keep it simple! I've uploaded a very quick mockup that reflects adding tabs can hide visual clutter. Also, how simplifying the primary banner area, can help focus the users attention to key content elements. I've also uploaded a sample of the A/B test that validates which look is strongest.

Minor Problem on Home1 (1).png 1 The search module is too small ... I personally like to have a prominent search engine, it's really handy when you are looking for something specific. -

New Idea on Home1 (1).png 1 The top could be in width="100%" and in position=fixed ... In this way you can access the menu all the time, without having to return to the top of the page. Summary:
Hi Lucas, This page works well, it is clear, easy to read, well organized. The first version is the most successful, less dark, with the slider at the top of the page.
However, I would put a contrasting background, the black makes the design a little sad. Try a gradient from black to gray, and then a light color.
As your page is very long, and must scroller, it would be interesting to propose a floating navigation with categories "new game, most is hot, top games etc ..." referring to the relevant sections with a sliding effect in jquery for example ...

I like concept #1 the most. However, I'm not sure about the black background, it's a little to dark for a fun website.
The below the fold seems a little to crowded.

very nice layout, I just feeling annoyed with the color contrast. Gradation might be helpful. Or use a lighter gray. Just my opinion....
