Steve Comrie commented:I know that Michael suggested moving the logo to the top left, and that's generally a good suggestion as it is typically, the place where 99% of web visitors will expect to see your logo. Really, putting it any where other than there is a bad idea.
That being said. I'm not sure how that would look with the template you have selected. It would probably be a little more work to make it look right, for better usability in the long run, but it might harm the flow of the design. Catch-22.
3 Too much wasted space. 4 The alignment of images and text within these three columns isn't quite working. Because of the different shapes of the images, text seems haphazardly placed. 5 Alignment is off here. 6 No headline here to tell me what content below represents. 7 This headline alone is not enough of a description as to why I would want to play this video. Presumably one item "Itinerary" is clickable, where-as the other item "Tiny Notes ..." is a headline and not clickable, yet they share nearly identical styling. Consider a more distinct "button" styling for things that you want users to identify as clickable. 2 This footer is very confusing. I don't know why there are so many twitter accounts, facebook pages, blog pages, etc. These accounts either need to be consolidated, or you need to provide clear explanation and directions for the user as to why there are so many and what the differences are. 3 These buttons don't really do anything for me. They don't give me a reason to want to click on them. I understand that there might be images, but of what? Video, of what? Why do I want to click them? -

Just to expand on this, you want to use more descriptive titles here, such as "Watch videos of past sermons" or something similar "Photos from our recently events". That way you give users a better clue as to what content is beyond the ambiguously named "Video" or "Images" link.

I was going to guess that you bought this template before I read your summary to see that that is exactly the case.
The top 1/3 of the page is very well designed, which will get your visitors to stop and pay attention briefly, but you need to do a better job displaying your content once you've initially caught their attention.
I think you really need to take a step back and decide what it is your trying to convey to your visitors and what it is that your visitors expect to get out of your web site, and then craft a wireframe that clearly marries those two sets of expectations. Right now you've just thrown a bunch of links to deeper content on the page without any real calls to action.

Consider placing it to the far left instead of the home button 2 Avoid this type of treatment - out of place for the type of site 3 consider losing some of the color. only use color to draw the users eye to critical information. Think of it as a signal - and the rest of the content being noise. This is a good choice of templates for this website content.
What works:
- Primary banner imagery compelling (grabs attention)
- Good use of whitespace - easy to read
What needs work:
- Alignment issues in most areas. Try to conform to a grid (http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/04/14/designing-with-grid-based-approach/)
- One banner does not work (the one with the typography) Use this as link as inspiration
- Eliminate graphics and pictures in the content canvas (see uploaded sample)
Create a new logo - and place in the top left

Minor Problem Three Column Layout?
I would suggest a two column layout and make it clean by using big font size. Move the Live Stream, Video & Images section just under the slideshow as it helps people easily connect to you. remodel join hands section as to take some good space on the left.Serious Problem Overall Look
The site lacks coordination of elements and thus every element feel like floating there. There is very less content to as in what exactly you want to achieve from your visitors. I would say get rid of the curves of the slideshow though it looks good it overshadow the content that follows. Have a big in height slideshow with realistic image rather than backrgound morphed one. add a dark colored block on the slide with some transparency to show your content and on the left section there should the images of people concerned.Summary:
Don't just iterate element by element just have a big picture in mind of all the sections. and the first look tells you that a template has been modified.

Overall, it is a good design. It can be polished by fixing the alignment issues, improving the graphic details, and efficient use of white space.

Well you could check out wordpress. It has a TON of features, plugins, and themes. You could definitely find what you are looking for there. Hope this helped.
