Minor Problem Name text
I feel that your name is a bit light, it kind of gets lost within the overall composition.New Idea Camera Lens
Personally, I would get rid of the lens. Your logo already says photography, why be redundant?New Idea on RBP logo.png 1 I see that the stem of the B is raised, I wonder what it would look like if the stem of the R were raised as well. I think it could help with the readability of the logo itself. Summary:
Between the two, I prefer the second logo rather than the first. The first logo seems a bit too passe as I've seen plenty of other photographers take similar approches to their brand identities.
That being said, I am liking the overall boldness of the second logo.

Minor Problem on RBP logo.png 1 To me this logo looks a little old fashion. If this was the intention of the logo then not bad. I think it is the cross between the serif font and the old looking camera that makes it look old. Positive Feature on RBP logo.png 1 Really like the signature on the logo! New Idea on RBP logo.png 1 Not that this is a terrible lens but check out Apples aperture logo. Not that you have to copy this one but it is very modern. Summary:
Overall simple and clean. I like if the intention is to look less modern on the top logo then good job. I rally like the signature and I think that this is a good touch to the logo.
Minor Problem Is it a lens or a cup?
I love the aspect of the 1st design with "RBP" on the right side. However, at first look I thought that the lens was cup sitting on a table.Summary:
Over all the design is amazing! I would maybe change the perspective of the design so that you see a little of the side of the lens or the camera.
On the 2nd design with the hand written name it is hard to read the name and could get lost depending on the size and placement of the design.
Minor Problem Typography
The type doesn't work well with the icon, use a sans-serif fontSerious Problem on RBP logo.png 1 Font type reminds me of Robert Harris the coffee. Also I think it looks 'cheap' Critical Problem on RBP logo.png 1 First glance I thought "wicked" but second glance I thought "washing mashine". Can you add something subtle to make it more identifiable as a camera? Perhaps something to do with a flash or the snaptshot button? Positive Feature on RBP logo.png 1 I like this one the most. The design is easier to comprehend and feels more "designer brand", particularly with the photographer's signature there. Other on RBP logo.png 1 I really like the idea of the signature but will it come out OK on really small prints, in faxes, etc.? Minor Problem Balance

At first look i liked the first Logo but after awhile looking th second image began to grow on me. Its real artistic and the signature gives it a personal touch

I think this is a great logo for black and white. Good Choice. I think negative space would also be good for this logo.Summary:
With a little work this could be a great logo. The first one that is. Don't like the second one.

in my opinion you should unify the typography here; try all letters in sans-serif font. use small and caps letters in Robert Branch PhotographySummary:
whole logo looks very clean. i would discard the second option and improve the typography and decrease number of details in the first one.
