Serious Problem on http://www.thifbook.com/Top-Sellers/ 1 more space between sidebar and main content 2 when you make the other titles bigger don't forget to make this one even bigger than it is now, for example if you make the titles from the sidebar 16 px than make the e-books titles 18 px and this statement 22 px than you will have a nice visual hierarchy. Critical Problem on http://www.thifbook.com/Top-Sellers/ 1 make the titles bigger than the elements inside in the case of the sidebar make them 16 to 20 px 2 make this 12 to 14 px and align it to the left, now it ruins your hole design (this is valid for all the fonts in your website that are center aligned) 3 make the images for the products much bigger than they are now. 4 It took me a while to find the title in all this mess, make it at least as big as the titles from the sidebar . Hi Sarah, the site is not too bad but you have a very big problem with visual hierarchy for example the font for the descriptions of the e-books is bigger than the e-books titles witch is a very big mistake, that way you force me to read a big piece of the page and i wont do that, in fact most people wont do that, please see my notes.

Serious Problem on http://www.thifbook.com/Top-Sellers/ 1 Having side navigation to narrow down what the user is looking for is fine. This is does not do that however. It's on every page (or so it appears). It also appears to be completely static. You should be guiding your user with this. Check out Newegg or Amazon deals with this. 2 Why is this on the side navigation and not on the top? If it's going to be on every page, it should be with the main navigation or the footer Critical Problem on http://www.thifbook.com/Top-Sellers/ 1 There is no way to even browse books using the main navigation. Navigation as a whole needs to be re-thought out 2 No one will ever read this text. There is no header or information telling the us what this is supposed to be. It looks like random text. The font is also way to large- especially compared to the rest of the text on the page. Bring in each item to a few pieces of information that you want to show the user- any real eCommerce site would be a good reference. Summary:
You need to think about what you want the user to do on the site. Where do you want to direct them? What should they see? How do they get where they want to go? There is no direction on the site.
When displaying lists of items, it needs to be in an organized grid or list. Right now everything is all over the place. Make it clean and make it consistent.

I listed some issues I saw. Now will try to answer our questions:
1) I am dissatisfied with the layout, as I stated in my comments above.
2) Happy? I may want to see more reviews. Usually, I like to see other buyers' opinion about the book. Even though the price is not to big, however, it is always nice to see what people think of the product.
3) Yes, if you improve it and make it more dynamic, with user comments and ratings.
I don't understand question 4.
5) I told already: make it more dynamic, so I can feel that people are in here, viewing reading, commenting, etc.

Critical Problem Typography
You should improve the typorgraphy, by following the simplest rules h1 is the biggest font on the web page, h6 is the smallest heading font, that could be big as a paragraph font. Use align justify better than center under the images.Positive Feature Texture

Not sure what the domain name and the title of the site mean. 'Thifbook': Ideas that spring to mind are * Does it mean "Thief book" where all the books are free, but pirated copies? * Does it break up "Th if Book". doesnt seam too. * poetically maybe.. "th-if" "t=hif" "thi-f". nope. thoughts: "ok, i dont get it. why thiftbook."Summary:
Graphic design and layout are not my strong points, so visually it looks fine to me. Others are better suited to comment.
For me as long as when i land on a page i can instantly know where I am in the site navigation im usually happy. This means highlighting which of the major tabs im on if in a lower level than the top page. The site doesn't do this.
Clicking on "Specials" brings up the page, but then the main header "Specials" button returns to the same state as all the other buttons. I would prefer that it was in an 'on' state.
Same with the side menu, say 'Happyness Ebooks'. it looks the same on the actual page as it does on every other page. The breadcrumbs is a nice touch though.
for number 3 I think the name would put me off buying from this site, at least until i knew what 'thifbooks' meant.
