It's a nice logo and it's been designed well but in all honesty, it doesn't communicate to me what you say it should. The muted blue and green, both very safe colours, give it a very "professional" vibe. It feels very corporate, almost financial.
I'm not entirely sure what the little symbol is supposed to signify either. (I'm guessing speech bubbles though.) If the business is about social media marketing, it has to be a little more welcoming. Maybe start by making the "speech bubbles" more prominent and using colours that are a little bolder.
I'm not exactly sure what the teardrop/circular shapes are meant to convey. To me they don't add meaning to the logo at all. However, I do like the font choice you've used. I think that it is clean and professional and its very legible.
Thank you for the comment! It's supposed to represent how a deal can hand off to a new set of friends when it is shared on facebook, like a cell dividing and making it's own set of cells. I added another photo with the change of one of the shapes to green, does the circles still lose meaning? Do you think that it's too complex of a idea with how simple the icon is?
It may still be a little on the complex side. However, maybe if you made it look more like "cells dividing" it would be clearer. I edited my review to post an image of one possibility. Please pardon my horrible Photoshop job. It was quick and just meant for demonstration purposes.
Ah okay, thanks. I try going down that route and see what happens.
Relatively decent design. I definitely see the evolving concept with the blue "bubbles" rising. I would consider changing the color of the tagline to a shade of grey so it won't distract from the actual logo itself. I enjoy your color combination as this logo could be used for a company that works in more of a scientific industry.
Thanks for your comment, I'm not a fan of the prev colors either. I have added a new image with a new color scheme if you don't mind taking a look.
As for the logo, it is a social media company but they one concept they are pushing is the fact that deals they sponsor can have a viral effect where one person can send to another friend, with the cycle continuing till the deal reaches new consumers. I was attempting to convey a sense of duplication, with the dots representing individuals and the two pointing towards each other was like a cell dividing. Maybe the concept is too complex to represent with just four shapes.
The second photo has three green dots and one blue, do you think that it's more effective at communicating the division?
