Serious Problem on 1.jpg 1 Is this your brand/domain or just a design element, because it can cause confusion 2 This is one of the most important parts of your website dont wast it on just HELLO 3 Let people click through to another page wich explains your service a little more then in just 3 lines. 4 Exchange this for your phone number/email 5 You want people to hire you, make this more prominent, or put buttons on your site that gets them here! 6 Dont let them leave your site unless its realy needed, try to keep them on your site by making a subpage with more information about the project. I realy like this design, it is original, well layed out and grabs the atention. I have some things for you to consider though:
- The hello welcome to my personal portfolio is way to large and takes up so much space and attention. This is the most important area of your website.... make it count!
- You put a lot of importance on the social media icons, but put the contact form at the bottom of the page. My guess is you want people to hire your for webdesign jobs, put your e-mail and phone number on a very prominent place!
- I realy like the way how you put your services and your work on the site. But there is no follow up. You cant always convince someone in 3 lines of text. You should add a more button so people can read more relevant information about the service your are offering.
- Same goes for latest work. You link to the "visit website" but that makes people leave your page. Make a nice portfolio follow up page in wich you will show them the design and explain the services you did for this customer.
- I am missing customer reviews or references on your site. These are very important and could convince visitors to contact your.
- You use rockstar working as a logo. Is this a design element or is this your domain/brand. Because if its not it looks kind a off on this page.

Rebecca Perry commented:Geert - you give great reviews, but some of the folks you review don't deserve any feedback, they leave blank reviews so they can post their concepts. Just a suggestion, but before giving a review, if you could take a look at the users profile to see if they themselves have been contributing to CF would help the community become stronger. :-)

Geert - I also like giving reviews. And I think other members would agree when I say that having to do "background checks" before giving someone feedback sucks.
This site could not work if the majority of its members left blank reviews.

You are a good designer and probably have some great advice for others - why not use it? Prove your worth (and I will gladly delete my posts).
Geert - you write great reviews! Ahmed, look at how beneficial Geert's review is (specifically its level of detail and thoughtfulness) and try to do the same. You will benefit much more in the long run.

People start to get hacked off when they get spammy reviews because it wastes everyones time. That is why everyone is piling in here... we don't want concept feedback to go down the tube ... it is too special!

WTF thats the best score you can get, and this design is so uninspiring, unoriginal and done to death... a lot of the experts on here are over rating everything

Maybe you should try to read it and not decide if its any good on the rating i give (and how you disagree with it).... Then you would see that im not a designer but a marketeer and comment only on marketing/usability problems. I think sites like this go downhill because people dont read, and are egotripping about taste... wich... i recall... is still personal!
Minor Problem on 1.jpg 1 a little busy? ...maybe Critical Problem on 1.jpg 1 the inward shadows dont make sense Summary:
It's beautiful, I like it a lot. It is not very creative, and as I always say, that is fine except you are a designer.
I mean this is part and parcel of current web trends, you got your colorful top with a "photo"slider with 3-d shadows. nice balance of gray and very grid-like structure. You got it all, and yes it is damn pretty.
I just posted a near replica of this. Perfectly workable for my client, but for a designer...YET..I really like it...so.. I am only deducting "strategy".

However, me final designs are almost always a hundred times better.
look, your design will live on its own, and NONE of your clients will tell you how they feel about it, they simply will love it and call you or hate it and move along.
I rather take the harsh criticisim here than in the open world man.

I've said before, I like the image slider in combination with blue and pink colors as describing when I'm happy and when I'm in love. :D
but for the color of its contents, what can I say, just like the color of drowning. how about adding a little color to the contents.
