The front side of the card is really working for me. I will leave a couple of notes on how I think it can be improved. Having your main message in all caps is OK, but I would introduce some lower case for variety and contrast. As the saying goes, if everything is important, nothing is important.
Definitley stay away from "Not sure I can help"" in the circle (backside, first option). It's a negative message that could plant seeds of doubt in your perspective client's minds.
Overall, the third option for the backside is the strongest. Though business cards frequently do not carry a CTA, doing so can be a very good idea. Your "Hire Me" works. Drop the "Not sure I can help?".
The 2 for strategy is for the poor message of "Not sure I can help?"
You are absolutely correct! This is why you people can point out mistakes I have missed!
Any suggestions to how to change the text on the bubble?
Believe me, it works both ways!
Delete the text bubble and change "View my portfolio" to blue.

| 1 | This is great, this is your strenght. Way better then the "Hire me" in my eyes. |
| New Idea on Briljant_BC2.jpg | |
| 1 | I realy like this. But i agree with others that "Hire me doesnt work here". The reason why is that your designs should speak for yourself: Hire me to me sinds like a desperate call for work, while looking at your designs shouldnt be neccesery. I would try to get a different way of interaction here. Some ideas:
"H" Make it look like a file cabinet tag. And use the first letter of your name here. (Also for you collegues)
"Find me on" : Hint to social media here (Linkedin, Twitter)
Use it to attach some other paper to your card. This will give it yet another dimension and focusses on your strenght: Maybe the link to your portfolio. When you use this clip to clip something to your card i think it will realy stand out. |
I realy like this. It is very clean but still shows off your design skills! Great!
Maybe use a bit lager font for the contact information so it stands out more. I also agree you should comply to standards in sizes.

| 1 | This is nice however in print it will look crap, the shadow may not work, and chances are the printer won't cut it correctly |
| 2 | nice touch, again I wouldn't put it on for fear if the printer somehow stuffed it up! Also will you look like that 5 years? |
But totally wont work in print…
A business card, should show style and skill and why someone should work with you… for me this is nice but looks like a web app, not a business card.
I also think your size is out of whack, the average business card is 55mm x 90mm, your's looks closer to 55mm x 110mm… which isn't bad but if you're going to be different, do it properly!
I would try something completely different from your site, and make it less web styled and more print styled!
I also was thinking the hire me will not work so much in print. Just wanted to see how it will look. The size of the BC is correct. 55 x 90. Standard. And I am not going to print 10 000 and keep it for 5 years. A few is enough so the photo is not a problem.
Will do something more print like. Thanks I agree with what you said. Right on!
new back of card #2 is looking good!

| 1 | do you use the same font as on the front, lower case? The police of the front "for your personal ..." is very successful, I like it less. |
Hello , The front is very smart, I like it very much. The back less. I found the police less successful. About the photo, in France, this is not a good thing to put a photo on a professional card... But I don't know if it is the case in other countries.
It is same font, but lowercase looks different. My thinking of placing the photo was to seem more inviting and friendly. But I agree that it should not be there, anyways it is not necessary when it will be online anyways.
See new image for back.
Not sure what you mean by: The police of the front "for your personal ..." is very successful, I like it less.
Sorry for my english ... I want to say the font of the back is less attractive than the front ... Your new image is simplier but very professional, maybe too much ... Graphic element to the top ? Or to the bottom ... Just to give a little fun
Make sense, will do.
The last image is good, with the circle. I remember there is something like that in your portfolio, it's coherent.

DraftI like the "paper clip" with the hire me! This is excellent.
| Serious Problem | |
It is about themI get stuck on the Hire Me. It is supposed to be about the client not about you. "See how Briljant your next project can be" is a better way then saying hire me.
Love the clean feel of the card but remember a business card is a marketing tool. Make it about them.
It would be nice if you could pull off the clip image but as mentioned I doubt the printer could get it right with out a lot of effort (and cost).
When designing a business card, keep in mind that you need to read it. When you are going to print this, you might not even see the difference between the text gray on the gray background... Also big fonts or fatter fonts are always better, because the prints can be a bit fuzzy. So my advice, contract and bigger fonts. You might want to think of UV spot too instead of the shadows.
Also, I'm not sure your photo is really needed, it would make sense if you were a model, but you're providing so it's not that important. There are so many possibilities!
hey Chris - I see you posted a concept that you'd like to have reviewed. But leaving blank reviews for others just so you can post your own really isn't how this site works.

Stylish & unclutteredI like the colors and layout.

Replace "Not sure i can help?" with something like "Do you want to be impressed?" or something more positive.

| 1 | This doesn't come across as professional to me. If you want to work with personal brands, that's fine, however the key success factors for landing clients from either demographic are completely different. |

| 1 | What value do you feel having your pic on a card will add to potential clients? In my experience, it's only realtors, mortgage brokers, finance guys who have pictures on their cards. |
| 2 | What size is the font? Also, how old are most of the decision makers you'll be working with? |
Hi Hendra,
I love the typography and colour choice!
Are you printing offset? If so, I don't imagine the graphics will look terrible. I have similar concerns as Aaran when it comes to printers taking shortcuts.
