| 1 | The branding is a bit weak. This might not necessarily be a problem. However, fashion products are generally sold on the basis of brand. |

| 1 | This is far to small for a poster headline. Also, I don't think the font does the street art style justice. |

| 1 | If this is the core message, it needs to have more impact. |
| 2 | The value proposition needs to be thrust forward and not confined to a small space. |
The shoe/octopus image is good. It stands out and gets me intrigued.
Unfortunately, a core problem with this poster is that it has been designed more like flyer than a poster.
Posters general tend to have one core message that is simplified as much as possible. This allows the message to be presented with plenty of impact.
Your poster has several messages. The strong grid layout helps to bring order, but again, it's the type of grid layout that would be associated with a flyer.
I think one of the problems you have is that you are designing a template, so obviously, you wouldn't know what the core messages are.
Having said that, I think you still need to create a template that really thrusts one message.
I would start by making the shoe/octopus image and the headlines bigger. You really want these elements to jump out.
I would expand on the shoe/octopus image by making it more colourful and vibrant. It is quite flat in its current state.
I would also make it clearer how the octopus relates to the product. Currently, the image create intrigue which gets me interested in the poster. However, the contents don't explain the intrigue, so I end up getting confused as to what the octopus has to do with the product.
It would be great if you could make a photo real version of the shoe/octopus - this would make people stop and take notice. Obviously, it would mean moving away from the street art theme, but you could add that theme back in by using a street art background.
Of course, you should only make the shoe/octopus the central image if it has a core benefit to the customer (For example, the shoe/octopus adds a sense of street cred that the customer can gain by buying the shoes). It might be that the brand or the quality of the shoes is more important. In which cases, these should take central stage.
Once you have hooked in the viewer with your eye-catching image and headline, I would have a horizontal strip at the base of the poster that succinctly describes the product and points to sources of further information (e.g. web address).
Overall, I think you have made a good start on this poster, especially given the constraints you have to work in. By thinking more about the experience of viewing a poster, you can easily turn this into an eye catching piece.
