| I would seriously consider dropping the newsletter for something more useful. They don't usually have great uptake for this kind of site whereas a featured offer or the opeing times would be much more useful | |
| Positive Feature | |
The bolder colours of the images on the second page work much better, the first page is too washed out.
| |
| Serious Problem | |
Shadows too harshThe shadows are too deep and strong, they're too harsh and ruin the design. You should look at toning these down both in terms of colour and size.

| Positive Feature | |
Colour scheme for 2nd designThe colour scheme on the second design feels warmer and more inviting than on your first design

NewsletterDoes this / should this be so prominent? The use of a background colour on this block suggests to me that a main goal of the site is to get users to sign up to a newsletter - but should you be focusing more on trying to drive users towards contacting you about the products and services? Just a thought.

Overall I think the second design is going in the right direction. Toning down the shadows will make a big difference and give it a more professional feeling. (My comments are referring to the 2nd design, as I think this is the better approach).

Justified textMy first instinct was always to fully justify text, and I ultimately decided to break myself of the habit. It's surprising, when you look around at great design, how rarely it incorporates anything other than left-aligned text. It helps you avoid awkward gaps and rivers, and, in my opinion, goes a long way to making a layout look more professional.
Narrow marginsIf you gave your text a little more breathing room by increasing the padding in each box, I think that would take this site up at least two notches. ;)
| Positive Feature | |
Color paletteI think the color palette on this site design is great. (I almost feel relaxed just looking at it.) Did you try any small pops of a more vibrant color?
I think this website absolutely communicates the right idea visually. It looks relaxing and soothing, and I think it's the type of design that would appeal to women specifically.
Colors could use some more life and solid backgrounds behind the text need to go.

PAddingreduce the size of the text here to give more padding, everything on this page looks cramped, you don't want that for a massage spa business.
TextureI think your background needs some subtle textures, texture goes a long way in webdesign, will take this up a notch for sure.

| 1 | Dont put this in a box, it should be set against the background. |
| Positive Feature | |
SimpleI like the simplicity of this, the tree columns are good
Spend more detail oriented time, on texture, typographic spacing, coloring etc... and i think you will have a nice usable site. Oh all my comments are talking about the first design, I don't like the others hardly at all. Stick with the first.
Thank you Jessica. You have a good point. I am also considering adding social media such as Facebook and Twitter-better way of getting the message out there.
