Why should people come back?If I'm correct, a landing page is meant to get people to "get back soon" to see your bright new website. So why should I come back? I don't see any reason to come back to this page, I'm only disappointed I can't hire you right now or can't see your work. Try to trigger visitors to come back. Show a snapshot of your work (besides the landingpage itself), or maybe a PDF download with your portfolio.

Nice & cleanIt has a nice and clean look like I would expect from a landingpage. Good thing you've included a contact form for people to leave a message and social network icons (instead of having an page without interaction options).

| 1 | Provide a reason to get in touch. Just 'Get in touch' isn't enough reason for someone looking for a webdesigner, especially when they need one right NOW. |

Scale?I wonder how this would scale for different browser sizes and if it would still look ok.

| 1 | I'd be careful with a twitterfeed. Only use this on your landingpage if it's a purely business twitteraccount. It's the only actual content on your site so it's a huge influence on the image I get from you (so you probably don't want personal stuff in there). If this page is online and being indexed by Google, these twitter texts are the main content Google sees and will rank your site for so it better be related.

| 1 | Have you thought of trying these as in-field labels? That way you could get the length of these fields a bit longer and better balanced with the comment field below? |
| 2 | space here maybe smaller and same size as space between your fields? |
| 3 | horizontal alignment of field labels and text here doesn't look fully aligned yet |
| 4 | as mentioned by Aaran - maybe look at matching this font to the one in your Coming Soon |
| Positive Feature on redsun.PNG | |
| 1 | nice textures and like the subtle use of colour |
| 2 | nice treatment of the coming soon, online portfolio, what you do and your logo. Really great way of visually tying it all together in a unified interesting way |
| 3 | love the little twitter birds |

| 1 | Is the e-mail address necessary as you have the contact form for people to get in touch with you? |
Overall this is looking lovely.
I'm sure that a lot of the things I've mentioned above, you're onto already but sometimes it's worth mentioning in case I've mentioned anything you haven't noticed yet.
On your screen shot, you have a narrower comments text field than on your built site. I prefer the narrower field as the margin between the field and the contact info on the right looks too tight in your actual site otherwise.
Really nice work though with nice touches. Lovely treatment of type in your Coming Soon badge with Webdesign and development Online Portfolio.
Look forward to seeing your finished site too
I kept staring at my design forever before i uploaded it on here. I liked it but i had the feeling it's not a 100% spot-on.. You gave me some very good points to work on. Thank you Emma! I'm aware that the comment field has a different length in different browsers.. I have to find a way to fix that...
Thank's also for the positive feedback :-)

| 1 | I would mess around with the alignment and maybe even the arrangment right here. It feels like it needs more structure. |
| Positive Feature on redsun.PNG | |
| 1 | This reminds me of the old Sunkist logo. A thousand thumbs up to this. I love orange soda and anyone who does would love this as much as I do. GREAT JOB |
| 2 | To liven things up a bit you could quickly add some samples or sketches vaguely through this grey adding more mystic. If done right it shouldn't interfere with the overall aesthetics but only add to it. |
| 3 | Nice!!! I really want to push these suckers. |

| 1 | The ends of this phrase seems too close to your ribbon above. In changing this you could possibly have equal sizes of the top and bottom phrases. |
Great design. The concept and mood comes right away to me and makes me interested to come back. Looks great just like it is and only needs some adjusting. Great work.
What a lovely review.. it makes me all smiles ;-) Haha, I like that the patch reminds you on something you love so much!
Yeah i already had a feeling that the lower area still needs some adjustments.
Well, i will get back to work then.. thanks for your input!
Cheers!

| 1 | Great logo |
| 2 | Like the layout |
I despise "coming soon" pages, but as they go, yours is great. The only question I have is why you are putting so much effort into this as opposed to the actual portfolio?
well.. the thing is that i am new to webdesign and i don't have enough work to show it off yet. so this page is actually staying like it is for a while.... but i am planning to keep the design and just fill it up with my work in between the logo later.
in between logo and footer i meant.
I find this one very attractive with an "oldschool" logo ! I'm not fan of the handwritten font for the titles (twitter feed...) i would use something more regular ! Btw, i think the texture treatement is very sweet. Very smooth but looking nice ! Beautiful hover effect on the social networks icons ;) Good work :)
Thank you Gauthier, I'm glad you like it!
| Positive Feature on redsun.PNG | |
| 1 | Fading hover effect |
| 2 | The police |
It's really nice design and makes me want to visit the site again
| Minor Problem on redsun.PNG | |
| 1 | Web design should be two words :-) |
| 2 | Labels need to be bigger |
| 3 | A label would be good for the third box, at least to suggest what someone might want to type in there |
| 4 | I feel like this is floating a little bit over on the right. |
| New Idea on redsun.PNG | |
| 1 | Contrast could be improved - some people may find it hard to read
Maybe the text at the bottom is a little too faded. Could it light up when you roll over to improve readability? |
LOVE the logo and typography - very nice. The texture effect is good.
It looks better on the web, than this screenshot… My only critique would be to keep the consistency, thus is "pacifico" the same font that's used in the logo? No I don't think so, maybe change it? Up to you.
Great work so far…
Thank you Aaran! :-)
Ah, I tried this now :). You might want to consider scaling everything to keep it to fit in the window (until a certain minimum of couse). Right now, the footer quickly disappears since the big logo stays the same size.
